Usual I have great service from them, especially from their afternoon staff. But I came in to customer service around 3pm, to not even be greeted from a manger (Crystal) but instead while waiting for her she goes, I hope you don't need cash back , if so go to a register. I then explained to her that I needed a small check to be cashed. She proceeded to tell me .. well your going to have to wait a minute. Which I didn't mind from the beginning while watching her talk on the phone and clearly aggravated..

Fruit keeps going bad after 2 days and even when purchasing it has mold some times and I have to take it back

The people were beyond nice and the store was immaculately clean! Yet I found the prices to be ridiculous and the selection very small. Sorry Food Lion

This one during the day is good the evening to night is very sketchy . Never go by your self during these times. Human trafficking is very real!!! Keep aware of your surroundings at all times. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The store is clean.

over the last year food lion in general has made alot of changes in which are just cosmetic besides that they have gotten rid of multiple items in store some of which i use quite frequently and im now having to try and substitute for said items like making my own baby limas for a soup i make because they stopped carrying the hanover brand baby limas for no reason and now its my milk i use a specific milk because its supposedly healthier and saw no tag for it at the food lion i go to now....how much more will yall be taking from these stores because besides a certain type of cornbread mix i have to use and oj i really dont like the store anymore its disorganized i just love it when the food choices that i can even eat start to go missing and food lion acts as if they could care less that's nice i used to like yall but now i dont even want to shop with yall the upgrades imo did nothing but change the cosmetics of the store which i could care less about when i need food dont take away food brands some people have food allergies and can only eat certain things as is just one more store making it difficult to eat whats now..???

Clean, newly renovated deli/cold prepared foods. Good pricing, quite a few items better than Walmart. Self and regular checkouts. Employees are kind. Most of my shopping done here.

Their prices are like a convenience store since they're the only grocery store for our area for miles. And sometimes you can't face Walmart which is the next closest store. Don't expect to be able to buy a lot for your money here.

Last night 07/01/23 (about 7:15pm) as I was traveling from my son’s wedding to his reception, I got separated from the lead driver I was following. My phone had died and I had left my charger at home in my haste to leave. I’m from out of town and was totally lost. I pulled into Food Lion (behind Toby’s lounge in Jacksonville) to get a charger or get some help. I was close to tears as I was missing my son’s reception. The young lady on duty let me use her phone and also drew me a map. I wish I had gotten her name but I was so rattled! She was a young, white woman with long wavy blonde hair. The gentleman employee (silver truck) said that he was going in my direction and said “just follow me”. This kind man took me straight to my destination and GAVE me his charger! I tried to give him a tip but he refused. Wow!! That’s service! Thank you so much! I didn’t miss a thing! Yes, I should have been smarter, but what a rattled, upset Mama I was! ?
