I recently have worked at southern auto parts starting July 2021 and I was pregnant, well I had my baby in February 2022. Randy was a sweetheart he was the best boss I could ask for, he never ever had problem about paying his employees or speaking with us. In December 2021 a new owner “Jared” bought the store from Randy, he was ok at first but he wouldn’t come to the store ever so I could never talk to him about maternity leave when it came time. It got worse, to the point where he was not paying his employees right. We get hourly pay and on top of that commission pay. I didn’t receive any commission for two months January 2022 and February 2022, I argued with him multiple times because that is money he owes me! Also to add onto that he was saying I was taking his money and I owed him money. Funny how that is when I didn’t even deal with any of the money. I had a doctors appointment for my 38 weeks checkup and things weren’t ok for me so they made me get admitted and get induced to having my baby the day of my appointment, and the store manager “Cody” knew I had a appointment and I also texted him asap to tell him I was getting induced! Jared try to tell me I walked out on the job. For one I didn’t walk out I was physically not ok, I was having a BABY! Two weeks went by and Jared told me I’d be getting two weeks of maternity leave pay. Never once received it nor did I receive my commission for two whole months. Jared doesn’t know how to run a business or pay his employees he is a crook and a liar! Southern auto parts is going downhill because of him!

The store is great. The machine shop is awful they make up problems that don't exist to avoid doing the work. After being called out on it I was told "I just don't want to do it"Go somewhere else!
