I was so impressed with the staff, as well as the Vet she was knowledge, I cannot say enough good about her. We came in for an Emergency Visit. They where caring,understanding, prices are reasonable, they took amazing care of my Sprout canine. We are both so very greatful for them. Sprout is feeling much better thanks to the care she received.

The staff here goes above and beyond. They treat my pets as if they were their own. Everyone is gentle and patient, not just with the animals, but nervous pet owners, as well.

Update 10/11/2024: Thanks, again and hello from Monty, Saybra and Chino! Staff still top notch and making it a pleasant experience. There's even a photo setup for fall in the lounge while you wait!
Wonderful staff. The moment they suspected my little, big kitty might have a urethral blockage(life-threatening emergency) they immediately rushed him back and saved his life. I can't thank them enough for the attentiveness they provided my little man. Everything was well communicated. All my questions were answered. Most of all I felt safe enough leaving my baby in their care for 3 days. Very trustworthy and reassuring.
Update: Apr 2 2024: they're still out here saving our fur babies lives. Caring. Considerate. Love them. Thanks for everything. Saybra says hi.

Been coming to this vet for several years. The staff is very friendly and the facility is nice. They've always treated my animals well and have never had a problem answering any questions I have!
The reason for the 3 stars is because despite the good facility and staff, the wait times here are awful. This hasn't changed at all over the years. You can consistently expect to wait 2-3 hours to be seen once you arrive, and you can't make an appointment. I'm not sure how in 5+ years they haven't figured out how to lessen the wait times, but it's awful. You'll need to clear about 4 hours of your day just to get your dog a shot.

literally the dumbest. told me they’d call after the 2 hour wait to bring my dog in. then never called to which i had to call, after 3 1/2 hours just for them to tell me “since you left the parking lot your spot has been forfeited” like you wanted me to sit in the car in the parking lot with my large breed dog for almost four hours. are you insane. i live 5 mins away

Went on a Saturday, definitely make sure you get there early since it's first come first serve. They were so fast and considerate when helping with my kitten. And the prices are also extremely fair

It's been a while since I've been to Academy and it is absolutely fantastic. They've remodeled with the knowledge that they only take walk-ins. The new layout makes the check-in process seamless. It's decorated beautifully.
The staff is fantastic and the whole experience was outstanding. The doctor was very caring, listening and giving me her opinions on what options I had with my cat. She was kind and so gentle with my old cat Monkey and I'm very grateful for the whole staff. I would recommend this animal veterinarian to anyone who's looking for a good place to take their pets!

I cant say enough amazing things about the staff here. First, their prices are unbeatable. They seem to really understand times are tough and don't mark up vaccine prices or charge 100+ for just the visit like our old vet. Sometimes the wait is inconvenient, but its worth it. I've taken my dogs here for their routine needs since moving to jacksonville and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The details of our emergency visit from last week would be too long for here but our boy was severely dehydrated. They went all of the extra miles to help him as if he belonged to the doctor herself. The wonderful staff here really have hearts for our furry loved ones and this place is a blessing.

Love the fact they're strictly a walk-in clinic, don't love the wait time! But when you have a stray, you gotta go when you can catch them! Staff was very pleasant and overall was a nice experience!

Highly recommended! The staff is welcoming, down to earth, efficient and knowledgeable!
The staff from the receptionist to the Doctor all ensured that my questions were answered and I never felt rushed or like a bother.
