The Women that answer the phones for the Pharmacy department are rude and very unprofessional! The tones and attitudes of these people who are suppose to be customer service friendly is beyond me. They should be taken off the phones and RETRAINED. Horrible Customer service i am afraid to call to ask about my prescription status.

Just don’t do it to yourself. Their pharmacy is 10/10 the WORST, slowest, incompetent pharmacy I have ever been to. I typically won’t review a spot unless I love it but please save yourself from going to this pharmacy. Let me also say it doesn’t matter time of day! It’s ALWAYS terrible!!!!

Came in to grab a couple of items while I was on my lunch break. Typically Walgreens has great sales that I like to take advantage of. However I saw a gel polish I wanted and it was on sale. When I went took my items to the register including the nail polish I did not see the sale price listed on the screen. So I informed the cashier the nail polish I selected was listed for sale. The cashier asked me if the “for sale” sticker was beside the polish or around it? And I told her I did not know. Instead of calling for help / going to see - the cashier stood there as if I was supposed to do the research. Because I was on lunch I did not have a lot of time I told the cashier she could just take it off. The cashier told me bc I was almost checked out she would have to finish the transaction and refund my money. Which made absolutely no sense to me. She offered to call someone but by this time there was 3 ppl standing in line. Feeling pressured to make a decision I told the cashier to void the entire transaction. I did not feel I was offered the best customer service, and I wasted my time / lunch break bc the cashier refused to do her job. I am disappointed.

No bathrooms for the public. Rude employees. I asked an employee if they had a bathroom to use and they said no. ????? This place, to be in Birkdale is a joke. Corporate giant making money off of rich people and no regard for customer service. What if my grandmother was there for a prescription and has to use the restroom? Terrible business.

I've never been inside a Walgreens that didn't have a bathroom. We were told to walk from the Walgreens down the road (with no sidewalks) to the shopping center to use the bathroom. We walked out and didn't buy anything. That's ridiculous. YOU'RE A PHARMACY!

This pharmacy does their absolute best! They went above and beyond for my daughter with special needs this week! Sometimes, our anger is misplaced- pharmacies, pharmacy techs, and pharmacist work their butts off! A thank you to them goes a long way! The stuff they have to deal with everyday is a LOT- BE KIND!

My wife and I have shopped at Walgreen since we moved to Cornelius and then to Denver NC. Needless to say, most of our shopping has been at the W. Catawba Ave location in Cornelius and for the last 3 years at the location on NC Hwy 73 in Denver. I think I have only shopped at this store two or three times before. It's located in Birkdale Village near the main entrance. It serves the people who live there well but if you're shopping at Birkdale, Walgreens is probably not your first-choice destination. My wife is a fan of a certain Bath Powder (Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds) but occasionally a particular location will sell out. My wife asked me to pick up some for her, so I tried Cornelius first on my way home from work and they were out so Plan B was the store on NC Hwy 73 in Denver. Alas, they were out as well. Went home as started to call other Walgreens and this was the first one, I called. Low and behold they had it so made arrangements to pick up a couple of containers the next day. The next day was a Saturday which worked out perfectly. Got there a little before noon an picked up the two containers. My wife who went with me, picked up a couple of items as well. Staff was very helpful and could not have been nicer. Good pricing and a pleasure to work with. Very clean and well organized store. Will consider shopping here again.

By far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a pharmacy. My doctor sent in a prescription at 8:30 am. It is now 6 pm. Still now ready and no one will answer the phone. I’m just thankful that it’s not an extreme health situation. I made the wrong decision my sending my prescriptions to this location. I’m contacting corporate about this. Ridiculous!!!

nice store hidden area. They did however change the cashier when i wanted to checkout. The item I wanted to get to said buy 1 at $2.79 get 2 free but the shelf tag said $3.79

This pharmacy, without a doubt, is among the worst that I have ever patronized. The staff simply seems incompetent at every level, starting with the clerks and going straight up the chain to the Pharmacist-in-Charge. The wait times at the counter and the drive-up window are horrible and you simply get looked at with blank stares if you ask for help. Partial fills and refills are truly a debacle. From one day to the next, the directions you are given change, resulting in confusion and arguing amongst the staff, leading to multiple trips to retrieve the needed prescriptions. I've shopped Walgreens for years, but until I saw this location, I had no idea they could ever be this dysfunctional. I decided today to move all my family prescription needs to another pharmacy. No one can be this bad.

The absolute worst and most incompetent pharmacy staff I’ve ever come across in 40+ years. Their word means nothing. They intentionally lie to you. Please DO NOT waste one minute or one dime at this location. Save your sanity and go to Lakeside independent pharmacy just down the road.Paul Alan Cook
