Truly confused by this place, claim they’re best in class but can’t deal with energetic animals. They muzzled my five month old puppy because he was “growling” when getting shots… mind you they never mentioned to me that they muzzled him, I only found out upon obtaining his records which was extremely heartbreaking. If you care about your babies do not bring them here. These people do not care about pets whatsoever.Edit to respond to their message. - strange that you’re saying my dog was aggressive. When on his chart is specifies “ History of aggression toward people/animals? No” and then the notes stating “pet did better this time”. The first note about his behavior was “We discussed handling and training, pet growled a bit after the temperature and was a little resistant on light restraint.“ so unsure how all of this equals to aggression. This was the same appointment where we weren’t greeted and the vet shoved a clipboard in my dogs face, never said a word to him and then told him not to bark in the exam room because “it echos in here”I tried to base this review off of my pets experience and keep my personal feelings out of it. The staff is not friendly and quite rude, at our last appointment (when my dog was muzzled) we weren’t greeted by the receptionist, she simply looked at us and said “I’ll tell them you’re here”. Hello to you too! When the vet came out she did not say a word to me, my husband, nor greeted her patient - my dog. My dog continued to bark because there is now someone standing in front of him with a clipboard in his face (once my dog started barking she shoved the board in his face to try and get him to stop I guess?) after she watched him bark for a little, she told my husband and I “let’s go” she took us back to the exam room, still without greeting me or my dog and continued to complain about his barking. She threw handfuls of treats at him to get him to stop, girly pop just say hi to him and pet him! The entire time he was back there he was crying, while being told to “stop it” in a nasty voice. No wonder my dog doesn’t like y’all, you people are awful ?. Needless to say my “overly aggressive” 14 pound miniature schnauzer found a vet that is patient and knows how to deal with dogs that are nervous, scared and energetic!Additionally, the groomer that has been with us since we brought our little sushi home understand the schnauzer breed and is completely patient with him as well, he hops into the mobile van with no problem.Everyone we’ve spoken to about this vet has agreed that they just didn’t want to deal with our pet, they just simply wanted our money. My advice to this clinic - take some customer service classes!Another note - they emailed me saying our new vet requested their records. I released my dogs records to our new vet and asked to confirm they were sent over. I received a “we don’t have an email for them”, I said I don’t either you guys were the one that contacted me but I sent a fax number and I received a “we don’t have a fax machine” email back. What’s the point of even asking for one then?! Overall - stay away.

I’d give it 0 stars if I could. They are not patient with your pet. They want you in and out. There’s a multiple things in my pets records that were NEVER said or discussed to me. The vet tech was very nasty towards my pet, her attitude gave off more fast food worker than someone to care for my animal. I do not recommend taking your loved family member here. Owner- do not reply back to me we do not need to discuss this further.

Long story short....never had a bill under 200$ for grooming. My dog had to be sedated for grooming and everytime I dropped him off they would bring out an estimate of what the charges would be, which one time was 900$ if I did everything they had recommended. I even had the 60$ monthly wellness plan that took 10% off my services. But my bill would ALWAYS be 200-300$. Honestly, I wouldn't mind paying it, but either the staff or attitudes have changed over the past 2 years and it's just not the same. Everytime I go in there I feel like they don't want to deal with me. I always get weird and uninvited vibes from them. Whenever I told one of the staff to cancel my wellness plan, they definitely were happy to do that! And I was definitely happy to leave.

Took our new adult bearded dragon for a wellness visit since we’re new owners. Pleasant experience all around. The tech we had was their “lizard whisperer”. The vet we saw was very helpful with educating us further on best care for her. She also emailed me additional information that was helpful. Pricing wise was very reasonable. It’s close by but also sees patients in person. Another office I called only did parking lot visits and would see the animal inside but call and talk to you over the phone. Unfortunately that wasn’t going to work for me. I wanted to speak with someone in person. This office was amazing and got us in within about 24-48 hrs of me requesting an appointment.

Everyone on staff is super friendly and attentive to your pet. They followed up with me the day after my kittens appointment just to make sure she was doing ok. They are a great team over there and I’m so happy I found a safe, loving and affordable veterinary for my babies!

Would not recommend this vet. Every appointment was lengthy and there wasn’t a discussion at every visit about what is due next and the cost. Many times it was sprung as a surprise at the visit. Every appointment, even follow up vaccine appointments are charged as exam visits even if they’ve been seen 1-2 months beforehand. The cost of each visit was high. I didn’t get the overwhelming feeling that everyone there loved their job and I didn’t really trust their judgment. I have since switched to another vet after an incident involving heart worm prevention and a test that was sprung on me at last minute. Was told if I didn’t complete it that day, when my bill for exam + vaccines was already ~$230, that they wouldn’t be refilling the heartworm prevention. I realized then, we were in the wrong place. The new vet doesn’t charge exams for every vaccine visit, just once annually unless it’s a sick visit. They are honest and upfront about future visits, tests and costs as it should be. For anyone looking at this vet, expect to be taken advantage of financially, have minimal honest communication, and true care/prevention of your pet to be last on their list.

Of all the different veterinary clinics/hospitals that I reached out to, Carolinas Veterinary Care Clinic was the only one able to see my pet turtle in a timely manner. The staff was wonderful from reception, to handling, to explaining options, and truly helping me to feel informed. They called the next morning to follow up on how my turtle was doing which I really appreciated.

Dr. Ritzman and staff were very friendly, super helpful, and gave me all the information I needed during the visit. I'm super thrilled to have a good exotic vet for my chinchilla.

Do not go to this place if you have a reptile, I have a leopard gecko and they only made everything worse. They called me checking in on my lizard and I told them his eye was worse from the drops they suggested, because they failed to give him proper care, they suggested I pay them ANOTHER 92 dollars for another exam. The lady said his environment was the cause because it wasn't humid enough and exc. So we bought a humidifier and thermometer for his enclosure, his humidity was perfect as well as the temperature. Even handling him it seemed like they didn't have a clue what they were doing, literally used two fingers and squeezed him by his stomach to pick him up, he started freaking out and they said "he's gonna drop his tail" and doesn't even lightly put him back in his carrier. He now has the proper care for his eye and it got better instantly. This place is a scam and definitely should be recommended for reptiles.

The staff here is nice and seem to love animals. I'm giving a negative review because my puppy was held down and had his nails cut while screaming in pain. They have not grown back since and he has a aggressive review in his records that follows him forever. I would probably do more than bite you if you cut my nails too short. I do not recommend this clinic

Very unfortunate event that my puppy and I have experience . This vet have state in my insurance that my puppy have a skin problem and was aggressive . Being force and put down by 6 staff member on the ground trying to put a muzzle on his face and that makes him aggressive. Any human or animal that is force to do something will have a reaction . He was screaming when I open the door and nobody told me that they needed help because he is not used to being treated like that , until I enter the room and asked what was going on . Very unprofessional . This was the third time being at that location . Now I found out he was not happy or cooperating before until that day that I open the door . They recommended a trainer an he got it even the trainer state he was a sweet dog . Fix your documentation when the ones that did wrong was the very unprofessional staff members that don’t communicate when something is happening until the last minute . I have prove my the new vet that I got to be is not agressive or is itchy at all

The best caring staff around! They took care of my pup and removed a tumor. He was in great hands and they truly care about their patients!
