Avoid this company like the plague, Carolina Office Systems was pretty good before they were taken over by Xerox. Their technicians are often overbooked and their attitude shows they don't get much recognition or support from the company. If I could rate our sales rep "Coburn Gardner" with a zero, I most definitely would. I have worked with many print partners over the years and he is worthless. I'm not even sure what his job function is other than to blame others for any concerns we have. Find a local printer partner where you aren't just stuck in a contract and another number.

If I could give zero stars, I would. When you call for support, or to order supplies, you're wasting your time. Their support is nonexistent. You try to explain to them that your machine has shut down, and their best solution is to wait 3 to 5 business days for the response. Most businesses cannot just sit still and do nothing for 3 to 5 days, and still have a business to continue with. Their automatic ordering system for their toner cartridges is a total joke. The keep auto-shipping you the toner cartridges that you do not need, and you have to keep calling over and over to try to get them to send you the ones that you do need. Right now, we have enough Cyan, Yellow, and Magenta cartridges to last for 5 to 6 years. You call in for someone to come out and resolve an issue, and they suggest that you do a search on YouTube, and watch a video to fix the copier/printer ourselves. Maybe they should watch a YouTube video themselves, and learn what customer service actually is. They obviously don't have a clue.

Stay away!!!! Call for service on a machine not on contract and took them 2 months to get back to me. They came out and replace the feed roller kit. The machine also had a problem coming out of energy saver mode. Well 4 visits later the machine is completely broke and not operational. Called the Service Tech Manager James D., half dozen times to get ahold of him. His answer was sorry you don't have a contract. So bad service equals me buying a new copier because they are not qualified to repair copiers. Beware! the only reason i gave them one star is cant give less!

Two stars for the sales rep and zero stars for the service. Since they were acquired by Carolina Office Systems, it has become a nightmare to deal with. No communications between departments and the support guy is rude as can be. If you don't have to, I wouldn't do business with them. Renewed our contract on the experience with G-5 not ESI!!

My business entered a 5 year service agreement with them 3 years ago and have had nothing but problems the entire time. Do not do business with these people.Their entire service and supply chain is a mess, causing delays for service and supplies (toner, drums, etc). When my multifunction printer needs service, I will go weeks at a time waiting on the fix. And during this time I'm still paying through the nose for their nonexistent service. I'm just biding my time to get away from them.If you do get wrapped into a contract with them, require them to add in a provision for if they fail to provide services according to the contract - this was my mistake. The entire contract is written to protect them if you don't pay, nothing to protect you if they don't provide service. If you've read this far, I'll just observe that their employee reviews on Indeed and Glassdoor indicate that they are a poorly run company with low employee morale.I'll also tell you a story:I went to my account manager at Carolina Office Systems with these service/supply problems. Told him I wasn't happy that I'm paying them for services they're not providing, etc. His answer was that we can't get out of our contract, BUT he would be happy to sell me an electronic document management system that would allow us to use the printer less, so it wouldn't break as much.Oh the irony. "Sorry we aren't keeping your printer running according to our agreement, How about I sell you something new so you can use your printer less?"Abandon all hope, ye who enter an agreement with these people.

Good as long as you have no problems. I had a machine with a protection plan. After expiration of the manufacturer warranty, the machine broke. Mechanical is not covered. Here we are two months later. Promised a response. Still paying for a protection plan on a broken machine. C’mon. Cannot get them to even remove the protection plan. I bought a new machine separate from them as we needed it to move forward in business.

Since this business has been purchased by a larger company I do not have anything good to say about it. Unfortunately this was about the time that we signed a contract with them for more products. (Not just toners but printers and service as well). I was told that when our printers were delivered they would do the set up.....They were dropped off about noon and I had to scramble to get them up and running before we started seeing clients again at 2pm. Their service tech, Hue, told me he didn't think much of our IT people. As we are a small business we do not have an onsite IT person but I do call a reputable company when it is something I am unable to do.I have called the business several times with questions and have not had my calls returned with answers. Even the Office manager as I had a question about our estimated copy count. The counts are way higher than what we signed the contract for. I wanted to know why and could I increase the copy count on our contract. No reply. We never get our supplies in a timely manner and have even run out of toner on our main printer. I have onsite tech support but what that has meant on one occasion is that we had to work without that printer while they sent us a part to put in ourselves. A tech did not visit our business that time. That printer was down 5 days. This little business is not important to them. We only lease 3 printers from them. But that will be 3 less printers when our contract expires.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They carry almost anything you can need for your office needs from printers, to faxes, to all in ones, and more. Top quality service with a smile.

Carolina Office Systems has been providing my company with high quality performing printer/copiers for the past 10 years. Their service department is top notch. Most issues can now be handled remotely, and when the need arises for on-site visits, the technicians are dispatched immediately. James Schaab and Drew Goldsword have been my sales reps all these years, and they have always been available to help me in every way possible. Thank you, COS!Carol A.
