The staff are really friendly and helpful and the products are great and have a decent and affordable price! Love their new holiday scents and there classics, you should really go there, just warning you that the scent as soon as you walk into the store is really strong and the door is super heavy TRUST ME ON BOTH OF THOSE BECAUSE MY FRIEND GETS A HEADACHE EVERY TIME THAT SHE WALKS I TO THE STORE AND THE DOOR ONCE CLOSED ON ME AND I ALMOST GOT MY ARM “CHOPPED OFF” lol! Hope you enjoy! Also those are some good scents that I linked in the photos!

I literally got off the phone with the manager on duty 2/9/2024. She is not a happy human being. I was nice from the time I said hello to the end as I said "thank you, I appreciate your time." Then she slammed the phone in my ear. Why? Apparently I was bothering her by asking if she could help me access proof of my past employment there. She said no. I commented I will document I did call the Birkdale location, so it does not look like I didn't try. That set something off in her. She became nasty for no apparent reason. If this is what it's like to ask for help, I would rather go without it. I feel sorry for her associates/employees.

Impossible parking at Birkdale Village. It took fifteen minutes to drive through the center with NO spaces available.

It’s a nice store but the employees are rude. I arrived at exactly 8 and only needed a bag because I bought stuff online to gift and just needed a shopping bag that I was going to use as a gift bag. I knocked and mimed holding a bag and the white lady was questioning like what and the black lady said we’re closed with an attitude. I said I’m not trying to buy anything I just need a bag. Yelling so they can hear me, making a fool of myself lol They walked right by the door not looking at me but went to the front so I was like yay they’re getting it. Nope they just blatantly ignored me. I waited for a couple minutes before I realized it.

I frequent this location often & always have a great experience. Today was no different!I was greeted today by Jillian & Anna! They were so friendly and sweet. They helped me find exactly the scents & products I was looking for, as well as providing great recommendations! Thank you ladies!! :)

I have shopped at this store frequently for probably 16 years. Two days ago, I did the buy-online-pick-up-in-store thing, because hand soaps were on sale, but I wasn't going to be able to actually visit the store that day. The next day when I went to pick them up, I asked if I could swap out a couple of scents if it turned out there were a couple that I didn't like. (I am familiar with a LOT of the scents there, because I buy so many hand soaps, but there are always a few new holiday scents that I'm obviously not familiar with.) The lady who I asked made it sound like it would be SUCH a huge deal for her to have to deal with something like that (something about the prices not matching when she went to do a return), but she GUESSED she could make an exception. She said that they really didn't want them doing that anymore. I was like, "Um, excuse me?" I've shopped at that store for SO MANY YEARS, and I've never had someone act like it would be such a burden for them to do their job. I've always bought lots of gifts there, too (mainly groups of seasonal hand soaps for teachers that have sinks in their classrooms), because I've always been assured it was so easy to swap them out if the recipient didn't like the scents. This person also informed me that she was a new Assistant Manager at the store. UGH. PLEASE BRING BACK DARLA!!! I can't imagine this happening if she was there. I guess I'm done buying any gifts from BBW, because I don't want to deal with attitude like this--I'll just buy more bundt cakes and Target/Amazon gift cards for teachers, bus drivers, etc. I'm hoping this manager is wrong and just needs some training (PARTICULARLY in customer service). But regardless, I will be avoiding her if I ever see her in the future and buying a LOT less from this store.

Barbara is so sweet and helpful. Store is a little cramped, so many soaps and candles precariously perched on shelves. But it smells divine.

I have been shopping at this location for awhile and never had an issue however today I was not pleased with my service. When I walked in I was greeted by an employee, who was talking with 3 other employees at the time. I told I was there to pick up an online order. She looked up at the register where there was a line of 5 people (and 2 employees) and said “ok yeah they should be able to help you up there” then she continued her conversation with the other employees. There was a customer in front of me that was also upset and was told the same. I overheard the employee that helped the woman in front of me saying they just got a large shipment in and so they are having a meeting. I don’t know what kind of customer service is being taught but if there’s a line of people waiting to check out, you stop and help..customers come first correct? When I was finally being helped the employee could clearly tell I was upset but said nothing. I wanted to switch out a candle for another scent but I just left because I didn’t want to deal with them anymore. So upsetting.
