This review is for the huntersville branch united community bank branch manager “Paige Spray” . She is really good, patient and knowledgeable person that we have come across for our banking queries and issues so far. This bank’s location would have been great for me. The service is awful and very old fashioned. People inside are nice but the banking service is inefficient:I set up a personal and a business account here. I tried to make them work for 6months then I ended up closing them both. What a headache to close accounts and move all your personal and business payments elsewhere! But they never managed to set up online banking for me. I had access set up, but was unable to pay bills or make transfers outside the back. Checks for business account came in a super large size and I wasn’t asked if I wanted small ones as well. Also, checks were $143 and came loose without a binder. Cards and also checks took 3plus weeks (yes, that long) to arrive with a lot of confusion to that process as well. Some got lost in the mail, cancelled, then turned up while replacement was also taking too long. They tried to make my online bill pay work for two weeks. Phone line to customer service was not available (I tried three different times in one week period). People inside the bank are nice, but couldn’t help me with my bill pay working nor with looking up why my card would not work for purchases with my PIN code. If you want to use your account for automatic payments, bill pay by check those might work but online bill pay, debit card with pin, large cash pick up if you have an account and need cash is limited and so on. I really wanted to make this bank work. Good location and nice facility but it just didn’t serve me enough. I felt a bit too modern with my banking needs with this bank. I had no idea why I did not get online banking and bill pay automatically set up with a business account and had no idea why they were unable to fix it. So I ended up closing my accounts and having to open a new business account at Chase where we have our other accounts as well. Everything is fast and working well there. I tried this small bank but it was such a headache. Really sorry but I can not recommend it.

This bank is truly a mess. No one inside the establishment stays long enough to have any idea how to fix issues. Our online account hacked and due to security issues on the banks site. The employees of the bank took multiple days to close and reopen new accounts . After several attempts at fixing the issues, it only got worse.
