Nice place to take my shotgun and AR, the guys in the office are always welcoming and willing to answer questions. The first experience I had was with the “rude” range master. I didn’t get bothered by his unwelcoming demeanor, because his main job is to keep everyone safe and he was doing a great job at just that. This time we got Chet I think his name was. Super friendly, very efficient with transition times and made sure everyone was safe. Overall this place is great and when I need to shoot anything other than a pistol, I will be going here.

Had a great experience shooting with Chuck as the RSO. My friends and I were able to tune and zero several rifles and had fun doing it. Chuck was friendly, helpful, and made sure folks were safe without being over the top. I was apprehensive after reading other reviews but I’ll definitely be back.

Nice gun range. I've been there 3 times over the past year and had a good experience each time. Shooting rifles at 25, 50 and 100 yards. Nice setup.

Had a great time on Monday April 1st. I was able to spread out all of my military collectibles and we fired them all. The store for me was dangerous as there was a 1943 303 Enfield for sale my brother had to hold me back cause if I picked it up one more time I would have bought it. Range safety officer I believe his name was Rich, not sure but he was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Next time I visit my brother in Jacksonville, I'm from New Jersey I most definitely be shooting at Flatwoods again. We were there for over 5 hours and had a blast. Absolute terrible place to go and spend money. Been multiple times with different range staff and they are all rude. They are exclusively slow fire, and you will be yelled at for anything faster than a shot a second. There is no holster work allowed along with both open and concealed carry not allowed. Pistol targets are fixed in place at 7 yards, and that is the only distance you can shoot from. And with all of that I would still probably shoot there if the range was nice (which it’s not) or if it was cheap which it is also not.

I read the reviews before I went this morning so I was a bit apprehensive about how my experience would be but …
I don’t have a single negative thing to say. The comments about rudeness, inattentiveness, or anti-2a are inaccurate.
The office staff were straight forward and welcoming. The range safety officer was great !!
I’ll be back and I would recommend to anyone.

A good range. Range master was strict but fair. Prepare to get your boots dirty, walking down range you can definitely expect to experience some mud or dirt. Range was very well organized. However i do wish there was a second range master in order to speed the transition time a little bit more. Will 100% be going back here for my next session!

The range master I had there was so rude and condescending that I ended up not even shooting. If you do go, try to get Sparky (I think that’s his name) and not the other range master. I was excited to get out there and learn, and to be honest he took away all of that desire for the time being.

The gentleman at the front desk was nice and welcoming. As soon as you walk onto the range that feeling quickly fades. I understand range safety is paramount but as I was leaving the range after picking up all my things the “range master” started swearing at me because I had my weapon in my hands. It was clearly pointed in a safe direction and the slide was locked to the rear so him swearing at me seemed a little over the top. I will not be returning.

They deleted my first review. DO NOT COME HERE. Anti-2A. Will harass you to see your tax stamps and verify serial numbers. ATF want to be RSO’s. Will ask to see your tax stamp for a pin and welded 14.5. CHANGE your business. Deleting authentic reviews is not going to fix your problem. I’ve been a customer here for years and it’s pretty embarrassing that your only response to this is to have the review deleted
