My dog got a TPLO surgery done here. Dr.Dean was phenomenal, super knowledgeable and experienced vet, he was very detailed and helped ease any anxiety I had with the surgery. The staff is super helpful over the phone. Only negative was the wait time was quite long (over an hour) and some of the receptionist were not attentive during the check in / check out process. But overall it was a good experience.

Hands down one of the best veterinary practices I've ever been to! My dog has chronic allergies, and visits fairly regularly. The staff are knowledgeable, kind and informative. They will always do their best to help answer whatever questions you've got! You can tell they genuinely love and care about every single patient. The doctors are very thorough. Been coming here for almost two years, and plan on sticking around for their new clinic as well! Grateful for Southern Oaks! ?

My friend brought her Frenchie puppy here for nasal stent surgery. Turned out she also needed cleft palate repair. They also spayed her at the same time. She has healed so well and her breathing is great now. And the bill was not astronomical! We were amazed. Highly recommend. Here is the patient one month post op…

My loving, innocent, and elderly poodle Paco died a horrible death here that haunts my life and memory. He screamed out a sound I never heard him make in all his 17 years of life.I never received an apology or any recognition. Never going back to this vet again.

They never pick up the phone or return voicemails. I called yesterday for an emergency and got put on hold for 30 minutes before they finally just hung up on me. I called back and went straight to voicemail. I left a voicemail yesterday and I still have yet to receive a callback. I then called again a few hours later to request a copy of my dogs records so I could go to a different vet, and they never sent them. Don’t bother, go somewhere else where they actually pick up the phone and help you.

This has been a great vet and we have had mostly good experiences. The doctors and techs are great with our dogs. The reason for the low review is the front desk organization. Twice we have checked in and waited an extremely long time only to find out that it was because they misplaced our file and took other patients and customers before us. The most recent issue was we were picking up from boarding and we waited over an hour. The only reason we finally got called was because we went back up to remind them.

I had been given a sick kitten about 4 to 6 weeks old by a neighbor kid. She was very small, weak, dehydrated, and very under weight. On the sixth day she started to come around and wasn't well just yet, the seventh day I rushed her to this place. First of all, they charge me three hundred dollars which was fine at the time I want to save this kitten life. Second once I was in the back room they told me things that I already knew was wrong with her, along with how scary the expenses were gonna be and they didn't treat her at all. Third They tried to convince me to euthanize her when they could have took the time to actually help her, I almost went through with it, But when they told me I couldn't be with her, I said forget it. So I took her home fed her, Gave her water, And antibiotics not from them, and deworm her And now it's been three weeks later, she's eating on her own, drinking on her own and playful. So if anything, I learned from this hospital specifically They will take your money, Scare you with how expensive something's gonna be, and end your pet's life. So thank you no thank you.

Today was my first time coming here with my husband. They were busy but, we were greeted warmly by Shy. ? We told her that we wanted to schedule an appointment for our new kitten that I rescued after, he was hit by a car. He's only 6 weeks old approximately. Shy told me that I will be blessed for taking care of the little kitten. Shy is genuine, kind and sincere. She took the time to locate the old account number. We have the appointment scheduled. Shy, Thank you for being the wonderful person that you are. It was such a pleasure to meet you. I have attached her picture so, you know who she is. If, you see her, please say Hello. ? I highly recommend coming here.

I’ve been taking my rescue pup here for the last 4 years, my Gracie bug has always received the best care and attention from all the vets. Dr. Kentley Dean, Dr. Dean, and Dr. Noblin have always been so kind and accommodating and made sure my girl will be with me for many years to come. I appreciate these guys and will always be grateful for the help and care I’ve received.

We love the care we've received for all of our dogs at Southern Oaks Animal Hospital! We've been clients for over 20 years, and the staff is always very welcoming and friendly. When our 14 year old dog Carly's splenetic tumor ruptured, we went to the ER vet, and they said nothing could be done. We took her to Dr Dean for a second opinion, and he immediately offered to do the surgery to remove her tumor and has given us even more years with her.
