excellent service. The staff trimmed and buffed my dogs nails while doing their best to make sure he stayed calm and unafraid.

Hailey is so good with my dog. He doesn’t love getting his nails buffed, but she makes him comfortable and he allows her to buff them. I love this Petco.

The grooming services is so bad, probably they groomers have to be more trained depends on Breeds because every time I pay almost a 100dolars for a bath and groom they make a mess with my golden doodless, I just say, don’t cut the hair on the head or the nose!! And is almost shaved.very dissatisfied

Many of the employees doesn't care. They have a 30 day guarantee on fish. We had one die within the period and returned with the receipt. They then said we needed the dead fish as proof. Problem is the other fish in the tank ate it. Gross, but not uncommon. She didn't care but did ask if I'd like to purchase another fish. I said I'd be purchasing my fish elsewhere. Shop elsewhere. There are other options.

Will not groom if there is any matting in the hair. New people running the grooming shop and not personable at all. Worst service and disrespect ever. Please boycott them until they get people that want to work.

Extremely unproffesional! staff is calling me and texting me all day to reschedule an appointment made on their website, so they can leave early!

Came to PETCO to get my Pomeranian's first haircut because it's Petco and I expected experienced groomers. After 3 hours I came back to get him and I was told to go pay before I saw him.... See the photos for the $80 result. Initially with the bandana covering him, I just noticed the short cut but upon inspection in the car, I was pretty mortified that this is how he was left. Will never come back here or to Petco again for grooming services. There are so many more trusted places in the area, I really, really regret this. I had to trim it all when I got home so he looked somewhat presentable. If they felt that the job was too big they should have called me and I would have gladly paid for his bath and nails and taken him home. Instead he came back quiet, reserved, and acting strange for the rest of the night. Clearly this team is not qualified and has the audacity to charge $80 for this. Had the "groomer" apologized or acknowledged I would have at least been understanding if this was her first time working with this breed. It's just a lack of communication and transparency on their side.

Absolutely awful experience today, shortage of staffing with last minute cancellation. I called and spoke to the GM, Mike, who clearly did not care at all about anything I had to say and proceeded to tell me they had no staffing shortage even though the actual grooming manager Jessica admitted that they did not have the staff to help my dog. We based much of our day around making sure we dropped off and picked up our dog per their guidelines only to be cancelled 2 hours ahead of time. Staff was extremely condescending and the GM, Mike, was smug and excuse oriented even though he had next to no idea what actually happened. It was actually so bad that we have cancelled all appointments with the on-site vet, Thrive. I've never dealt with such disrespectful people.

I had a very good experience. I have been looking for something to help with my snail problem and one of the Petco people (Savannah) suggested assassin snails. They did not have them at that time but when they got some in she saved .me several. Savannah is very knowledgeable about the fish and other things. Petco in Holly Springs is always very clean also. They are an 1 hr from where I live but I go there because of her knowledge and the stores cleanliness.

SUMMARY - poor customer service, chaotic scheduling & condescending staff.I've owned 2 Shih Tzu's over the course of 18 years. My previous Shitzu passed away last year and today was the first time bringing my 6 month old pup to PetCo for grooming. I mention this bc I have a lot of experience caring for this breed and have never had an issue getting my pets groomed.ISSUE #1 - Scheduling the appt was a disaster. We made the appt and then I scheduled my work and kids carpool schedule around it. Then PetCo called a couple of days ahead of time to offer an earlier appt time due to a cancellation. That time didn't work for us so we opted not to take it. Then we were called 2 hours before the appt and told that due to a staffing issue we would have to come early or forfeit our appointment, and that it was our fault for not taking the earlier appt offered to us. None of this was explained over the phone when PetCo originally called to offer the OPTIONAL earlier time slot. After discussion with a manager and explaining that we cannot change our work or kids school schedules on a whim and plus we had blood work scheduled at PetCo's vet (Thrive) after the grooming appt, they agreed to make the original appt time work and have another staff member help out.ISSUE #2 - I showed up on time for the appt and was greeted by someone who clearly was not happy to see me and did not want to groom my dog, probably because of the staffing issue mentioned previously. My dog is very docile and I was holding her like a baby in my arms while she was calm aside from a couple of whimpers. I was told that if she gave the groomers any problems during the session then it would be cut short and they wouldn't be able to provide the grooming service. This was said as if my dog was out of control which was 100% not true.ISSUE #3 - When being asked what grooming service I would like, I explained that my pup's first (and only) professional grooming appt so far was with the mobile groomer we used for our former dog so I was not sure what services PetCo offered, but we typically get a bath & trim. The employee told me they don't recommend that I "hop around from groomer to groomer" and it might cause problems with my dog being unable to form a bond with any one particular groomer. Not only was this very condescending and unnecessary, it doesn't make sense because PetCo doesn't guarantee the same person grooms my dog every time. Actually with today being our 1st ever PetCo grooming session, we were already switched from the original groomer to a backup person due to scheduling issues. So what was the point of making this comment about "hopping from groomer to groomer"? We've used the same groomer for the last 6.5 years until getting this new dog and deciding to give PetCo a try, so this comment was out of left field.ISSUE #4 - My female puppy (like many) has a tendency to tinkle a tiny bit of pee time when sees someone new, so I had her in a diaper to greet the groomer so as not to get pee on the floor or my clothes, etc. This behavior is perfectly normal for puppies if you ask any vet. She is walked 5-6 times per day and has no bladder or bowel issues.Once the staff member noticed the diaper, he made a comment assuming she had significant matting. He had me stand in the waiting room and took her through a glass door to check for matting for about 5-10 mins with another employee. Then he came out, pointed out 1 "matted area" which was not an actual issue at all, and refused to provide any service. My dog is pampered, bathed and brushed multiple times per week and was only wearing a diaper for the first few mins of the appt however this led to some ridiculous assumptions about how I care for my dog. The employees were clearly looking for an excuse to cancel the appt since they had already tried to cancel over the phone. My dog is NOT matted and her vet at PetCo AKA Thrive who saw her just this weekend can attest to this.I will *never* be back to PetCo and we have cancelled all

Great job! My dog looks so good! The de-shedding treatment was recommended and I was skeptical as I had that once before and it didn't seem to help, but I think was a good decision this time as my dog has been shedding heavily. It seems to be making a difference already. THANKS!

Marc took me as a walk in & trimmed Winnie for me. He was very kind. I had her face, feet & fanny done. I would liked to have more trimmed from her feet but it was ok.

I went there last Saturday for my puppy grooming. This guy I was very rude and I was turned away due to some mating , but it was not at all, in fact It was same as last time they did grooming 3 months ago by Jessica. Jessica was very caring and professional. I have been going there for over a year every 3-4 months. Guy didn't even wanted to do any service. I waited for my appointment more than a months. Horrible experience .. stayaway from this place.
