“Never a dull moment at the Goodwill. Some excitement came when a shouting match ensued between a 26 year old employee (she yelled it) and a customer who had finished checking out. The excitement continued on in the parking lot for some time. I hope they settled their disagreement about someone's momma and let bygones be bygones.”

“Quick and easy drop-off for donations. Prices don't seem too bad for clothes in 2026 but I don't shop at thrift stores much so take it as you will. Non-clothing prices seems meh. Not much of a bargain.”

“Second chance is the best. I got my beautiful dog from them and they make the process so easy and accommodating. They also take care of the animals beyond adoption and have the best interest in their animals. This place saves so many animals and they are great.”

“This is one of the best YMCAs in the triangle. They have an indoor pool, great coffee machine. The kids area is the best I have found, they have a classroom for each age and the teachers are great about scheduled activities. I drive extra to go to this YMCA.”

“Shop Local Raleigh is such a fantastic resource for soloprenuers and small biz owners in the Triangle. I was feeling stressed trying to do all the things and bring all the ideas I had to life at one time. The team sat down with me and help me focus on the big vision and how to break that down into smaller steps. Most importantly, they helped me connect with other like-minded businesses in our area. They offer monthly meet-ups and online training regularly. Most importantly, they speak on our behalf to local governments and regulators so we can do what we need to do to earn and income and keep positively impacting our community. I am proud to be a member of this organization and thankful for the other businesses who help support us.”

“Pretty decent Goodwill. I usually find one or two items per trip. It can be a little overwhelming, but the layout has gotten easier to follow and everything was organized by style and color.
I had to wait awhile for an employee to come up from the back to run the cash register, but she was nice.”

“This is a non-profit and the impression that I have gotten is that they are working extremely hard with the limited resources they have, fighting for the rights of people who can't fight for themselves. After meeting several of the people that work here and seeing how hard they work and how passionate they are about the rights of their clients and people with disabilities in general I personally find the negative reviews questionable, although I don't know the full story behind them.”
