We come here in the summer to camp and fish.. we love it here.. We wanted to ring in the 2024 in our favorite place. The cabinWas beautiful and just right. Only thing that I can say was off was the hot water for showering or washing dishes. It was bearly warm water. Over all we would rent again.

We had our first camping trip at Lanier in a prime waterfront spot over Thanksgiving. Even though the office was closed for Thanksgiving, the check in process and communication was great! Customer service and store staff were very welcoming and friendly. I rented 2 spots. The only issue we had was the refund of the 2nd bathhouse key deposit. Not sure why this was an issue but they were very apologetic and took care of it. Would definitely stay here again.Nearby activities: Very close to bridge at Surf City.Safety: Everyone was friendly, campground was clean, fenced playground, dog park, very quiet at night.

This campground was really great. Our site was close to the water, we could look out over the marsh and bay. WiFi was strong, 50A power was stable, bath house was clean! Proximity to Surf City, with shops and places to eat, was just over a bridge.

We took our travel trailer and stayed here for the weekend of 10/20-10/23. It was really pretty on the coast. The location is very convenient and close to restaurants and the beach. Surf City is a great, quiet place to get away. The only things we had an issue with was the faucet provided for water leaked consistently and their shower facilities were too far for us to use. Our trailer is more than adequate but sometimes the extra elbow room is nice. The price did seem high for the amenities provided but it is a beach town.Overall, I do recommend this for a nice place to stay for the weekend or longer.

My son was getting married at the beach so my husband, two daughters and I stayed in our RV at Lanier. The location was perfect because it was only 7 minutes away from where he was getting married. Linda was extremely nice and gave us a 10 percent discount. She also recommended a certain site which was spot #188. We liked that we were next to a privacy fence so we had less neighbors. The grass was nice and thick so we didn’t even have to use our outdoor rug. The site was also both spacious and easy to get into. The price was reasonable and we loved that we were able to have 50 amp service. The bath house was clean and had hot water. We saw about 6 young deer passing through at night. There was a dog park for our doggie to enjoy. It was a great experience and a nice place to stay. As we were leaving, the office handed out candy and bags of cheese balls to celebrate Halloween. ?Noteworthy details: The bath house was clean and had hot water which we were grateful for because our rv experienced a water leak. It’s nice to receive a $20 deposit back after returning the security gate key card. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We arrived just after dark to a corner spot which was awesome. My granddaughter and I were able to hook up the electrical, water and sewer with ease. Tammy and Christine were very professional, informative, and helpful especially Tammy. My family and I enjoyed our walk through the campground and over to the beautiful water and my grandkids loved the children's playground. I saw some different buildings that perhaps could be rented if a person didn't have an RV and I look forward to staying in one of those with my sisters in the future. Thank you all for a great first experience.Elaine Richardson

We had a beautiful spot but had a bit of a tough time getting to it. Got there after office had closed and confirmation email did not provide the gate code. Bit of a hassle but got it figured out and had a lovely time and met some very nice people.

We booked a small trailer. The floor felt Nasty on your feet, turned your feet black. I had to mop it with dawn and a towel three times just to get it clean. My eyes were burning and itching come to find out the air filter was never changed. It was horrible!! Dirty utensils were in the drawer. And to Top it off filthy sheets!! It looked like some one had sprayed something on the bottom half of the sheets! AWFUL!!! The ONLY thing that was Nice was the Lady that came to change the filter, she was really nice about the whole thing.Update-After sending photos to the main office in Florida the only thing they offered for our trouble was 10% off our next stay. They should have at least gave half our money back!!!

Great place to park the RV for a week and enjoy Surf City! Very bike-able if that's your thing! will be 5 stars once the pool is open and accessible by guests via the fence. It was only open when the office/store was open during our visit. Great pool though!

We rented a small trailer at this campground. The floor felt nasty on my feet and turned the bottom of my feet black. Our bed sheets were filthy, looked like some one sprayed something all over the bottom half of the sheets. My eyes were itching and burning and it turns out they've never changed the air filter. The couch was covered with stains. Dirty utensils were in the drawer. They did send some one to change the filter and sheets. When we contacted the main office in Florida they apologized and said they could only give us a 10% discount on the next time we stayed. They should have given us at least half of our money back!!!

This Campground is in an great location on the inlet/bay and Tammy and her staff are great! We stayed on the water at a premiere campsite and had everything we needed in walking distance to the bathhouse. There is a dock to fish from and boat ramp (although it gets quite shallow at low tide). The beach is a 10 minute drive over the bridge to surf city. We loved our weekend away and will be back!
