I went into Bijou to get my ring resized and Laurel walked me through every step and told me exactly what she was going to do. Today she called me up and told me my ring was ready for pick up, and when I arrive, my ring fits perfectly, is polished and she tells me that there were three loose diamonds that she fixed and made sure were properly placed. Laurel went above and beyond with her service and I couldn’t be happier with the results. 11/10 recommend if you need anything done to your jewelry or are looking for a piece to buy!

Laurel made an amazing ring for me. I described that I wanted the main stone (deep blue oval sapphire) to look antique, something I could wear everyday, and not look like an engagement ring. She designed the setting, and the ring is stunning! It’s exactly as versatile as I wanted - I can wear the ring everyday to work and enjoy it daily, and it’s plenty fancy for a night out. This is a newly-opened jewelry firm in Highlands, NC. The owner is a jewelry designer from Florida. She is very competent, enjoys working with customers, and prices her work fairly. I have appreciated her jewelry designing talent enormously for more than a decade. She has designed at least 30 items for me. Every item was precisely and carefully created. Her work is admired by numerous out-of-state residents who annually seek her advice and assistance. Her store is located about two blocks from the main intersection in Highlands. She offers jewelry items at various price points, including even jewels for the high-end market. Jewelry repair is offered, too. She always backs the quality of her work. There's never a charge for making adjustments to purchased items. What is most unusual about her demeanor is her ability to work with her customers to determine their purpose/desire for jewelry. Even if you acquire gems from foreign countries, as I have, she will gladly guide you through the process of enhancing the gem for its most impressive presentation. Appraisal professionals are highly complimentary of her offerings and the quality of her work.
