I have a 13 yr old lab with joint issues and they made me feel completely comfortable that they could get him groomed without issue and they sure did - went above and beyond and even helped me to the car. Also did my long haired young shepherd and he looks amazing. Experienced and caring - excellent groomer.

Paw Tales Lodge & Spa

Everyone has been so professional, kind and knowledgeable from the time you walk in the door to when you pick your fur baby back up. We are so pleased with the care our pup has received that I’d give Paw Tales 10 stars if I could. Thanks so much.

Catawba Valley Animal Hospital
1043 3rd Ave Dr NW, Hickoryno pet parent wants to take their babies to a vet let’s be real. but if there’s one i’m going to go to for the rest of my life, it’s this one. my small 2y poodle dachshund had a small blockage in his bowels and no one i mean NO ONE would take him (yeah. imagine turning down an emergency gastro surgery… a life or death surgery) and one other vet that we were about to go to was charging us $5000 (with no payment plan options) simply because they knew no one else was taking in surgeries. It’s as if someone from above heard our prayers and the doctors here gave us a chance. Which I am BEYOND grateful for , I know that scheduling surgeries and handling animals is a lot of work which is why frankly a lot of clinics turned us down and I get that truly, I do. Most clinics book surgeries in the morning and this happened at 3:30pm.
Not only did they rush in Henry and take care of his surgery immediately, they also took care of an ear infection free of charge. And the surgery cost $1500 instead of the whopping $5000 quote that I got from a different vet.
Thank you to the doctors who take care of us as well as our fur babies.

Animal Hospital North
27 13th Ave NE, HickoryWe grew up and started our family in the area. I joined the military and we moved away for a few years and now we are back local. Our usual vet was Dr. Hill, the 1st one all the way through the younger one. We had good relationships with all of them and their employees. Upon returning, we weren’t welcomed kindly at all and decided things obviously have changed there and did not want to deal with that.
We searched and called this Vet. The staff on the phone was quick to get us an appointment which is really what we needed, quickness. The dogs needed to get a full check up with a new vet since moving.
When I arrived at the appointment the front desk staff was really just plain rude and unnecessarily short and left me guessing if I needed to sit down? Stay there? Answer questions? Where did I pay when I was done because no one said anything? etc.
The vet (Dr. Gruber) and our Vet Tech (Jessie) were great to work with. I really enjoyed them and I feel they were absolutely incredible with Max. I couldn’t be happier with that level of care. They really gave him a good once over which is what he needed.
Pricing was fair considering the amount of care Max needed. Time in and out was great, no wait (other than at the counter wondering what to do, where to go, and who to talk to).
I’m willing to put up with a little “uncalled-for sass”, if the vet is good with my dogs. I'll consider staying for now because of that. I hope they read this and make some changes with the people up front such as training, “encounter reviews” on the cameras, etc.

I am so glad I found them.The receptionist was so kind and helpful.The vet tech and Dr. where so sweet and kind and very professional.My cat who is a bit on the wild side let them take care of his paw and we walked out of there happy , without emptying my purse. So very happy .I would highly recommend them and I will be back for future services.

At Blue Skies, your pet's examination and most treatments are performed in the same room. I really like and prefer this method. They will give you all the options for treatments / sometimes surgeries, but they do not pressure you. Blue Skies is definitely the Preferred Veterinary Hospital in Catawba and surrounding counties!

Carolina Animal Specialty & Emergency (CASE)
1050 US-321, HickoryBrought my dog there from Boone, NC. We went to Boone first. It was closest to us. My dog was having cardiac arrest. Now it has come to light she has pneumonia and is having cardiac distress. She is in an air tent for oxygen fighting for her life. The people at CASE have been outstanding so far. Update on my dog. Thanks to CASE my dog Samantha is doing ok. She has come home alive and alert. She has to go back to their heart doctor and is not out of the woods yet. She has pneumonia, congestion heart failure and high kidney levels. But she is stubborn and not quite ready to leave this earth yet for the next. She is responding to all the medications and breathing well. Please pray for all the people that work at CASE who treat and take of these animals. They are so pitiful and hurt when they end up at CASE. These workers have to deal with so much.

Neat spot, good atmosphere. We sat inside. The cashier stared at us the whole time and asked us to hurry. They told us we had a limit of an hour inside. We didn't question it and left. This was 3 years ago. Could of been my new favorite coffee spot. Have not and will not be back.

So I decided to give the five guys burger a try to settle the argument with my brother. I have to say, I see the difference in the taste quality when it comes to both places. Five guys burger has a taste quality that doesn’t get old. After a few times at whataburger which was great at first, however I began to get tired of it. Five guys wasn’t only refreshing but an amazing burger. Seriously the taste doesn’t get old. Only complaint I would have is, five guys needs ranch to serve to their customers. Other than that Kudos!
