Worked there for one day and didn’t go the next and Geri asked if I decided to not work there no more and I said yes she proceeded to say I’ll make the decision for you and said I no longer had a position after I clearly told her I wasnt coming back ! She is very rude ! Don’t recommend working there!!

Absolutely love the teachers, have had our children here for years. Prices go up $50- $100 a month AT LEAST around every 6 to 12 months. Many families at the school are state-pay, I feel bullied paying out of pocket. Arbitrarily raising rates that only the middle class parents have to pay is terrible practice. Childcare costs more than our mortgage for 2 kids now. With the tax law change it is not deductible, so we have been promoted from upper middle class to middle class in the past 2 years due to the cost of daycare.

I had high hopes for this place, good reviews in a good part of town. My daughters teacher was good and sweet but she needs to find. Better day care/preschool to work for.The school lies on how much your child is eating. Tell you it’s normal for your kid to ask for food and be starving when you pick them up. (Since changing schools where I pack lunch this hasn’t been an issue) which is where the school really gets a one star. They do not offer alternatives to kids whatsoever, so if they don’t eat….they starve. The front office people are okay, they stick to their rules pretty hardcore even if it’s not in the best interest of the child. If I were looking for a new pre school this would not be the one. I have since found a really good one and my daughter is thriving and loving it! She used to cry when I dropped her off here and begs to go to the new one.

I cannot praise NLA enough! My daughter attend there for a year from age 4-5 and they were amazing. They took exceptional care of her and she learned so much while there. The curriculum is awesome where they (at least her classroom) have themes each week. The projects are fun and education. My daughter thrived while there and we were sad to leave NLA when we moved away from Hickory. I highly recommend them as a pre-school and childcare center.

Wow the director is a joke. She does not know how to treat her staff to start with has women working 8 hours a day without a lunch break specifically people that need a lunch break for health reasons and then has other people taking 2-hour lunch breaks. That's just a start. It's it's pathetic to know that a director of a facility like this does not know how to properly schedule her staff
