I write this review not about the store itself, but about their Beer Den. Terrible place, terrible service. The person running that den is incredibly unfriendly, and just plain rude. I go to other Lowes Foods Beer Dena, and the people really enjoy what they do. You can tell. Not this person. I asked if he could change out two growlers that had been in my car and were hot for two room temperature. He flat out refused and said it loud enough, that I am sure the whole store heard it. No thanks. I will never go back .

This Lowes Foods was really cool! I've been to a bunch but never one that was structured and organized in such a way. The aisles weren't parallel and straight like most grocery stores, many of them were angled. I thought it made for a very unique shopping experience! I will say I could see it being more difficult to get used to the store layout and where items might be... but it is so different that I found it refreshing! We came here for a specific item and were able to find it, too. I definitely would come back here to browse around a little more!

KILLER AFFORDABLE SALAD BAR! I've been here five times already! $5 - $8 for a decent sized salad with all this + chicken & tuna . . . and 8 kinds of salad dressing. And even a place to sit down and eat it . . . WOW - This is one of the best deals in town! I'm a regular. Check it out!

Had a very unpleasant morning at this Lowes. I went to get my normal coffee. Only to find nobody at the coffee stand. I waited for about 3 minutes.. STILL NOBODY. I go get my other things and circle back around. This time theres a sign that said see customer service. I walk over to customer service and they point me back in the direction of the coffee stand!! After all of this they tell me the barista must have went on break.. at 8am. They don’t know when their employees take breaks? Seems hazardous. I was dismissed by ‘customer service’ and felt like the other employees couldn’t care less. Very dissatisfied with this Lowes Foods. You guys were my favorite but now I’ll have to find a new place to shop. Sarah is the best barista hands down. If Sarah was working this would have never happened.

I like Lowes Food, but the prices are somewhat higher than other grocery stores in the area. They do have good quality products, especially at the meat counter, bakery, and hot food counters. My favorite part is being able to drink a beer while you shop. However, due to prices, I only shop here out of convenience and rarely grocery shop here. They have a clean store. It is well organized, after you get used to its unconventional layout. I want to love them, but the prices really are higher than all other grocery stores in Hickory.

The coffee is delicious! I usually go during my lunch for time I wanted to mention the two young women that work behind the cafe, they are very nice. And go out of their way to be helpful! Thank you!
