I’ve used JCPenney for my ladies hair needs since 2021, today was by far one of the greatest experience we have had!I could only book 2 of my ladies online, so upon check in, I asked if they had availability for my 3rd child, thankfully they did, they got all 3 of my babies back.I didn’t get the name of the lady that thinned my youngest hair but she was the SWEETEST soul!Victoria foiled my daughter and fixed some things that a previous had not done so well on, she was so sweet and done an AMAZING job, she boosted my daughters confidence without even knowing, and that is PRICELESS ?Dannielle colored my other daughters hair completely purple, and WOW, how amazing, she done absolutely phenomenal, no purple all over the skin like others, she cut it exactly how much was needed…All the way around one happy mama, thanks to these amazing ladies for making my ladies happy and confident ?Thank you ladies, so much!

Nasty stylists! Horrendous service! We (friends) scheduled 2 appointments together, were clear about the desires services which we explained when appts were set. A few days after I confirmed the appointments, I was called 3 times by the receptionist who struggled to understand the appointment details. She was belligerent as the calls progressed. I answered everything she asked, even as she became repetitive with her questions about it being 2 separate appointments for 2 separate people. She then placed me on hold for nearly 14 minutes, never to come back on the line. Upon our arrival the next day, the same receptionist quickly made a loud scene, letting us know they - J.C. Penny's salon, had canceled both appointments with no notification or explanation other than they didn’t understand it was 2 appointments and decided to cancel them. After a discussion with the new salon manager, who assured us that the ‘salon team was getting straightened out’ (not sure why that meant), we were forced to rescheduled another week later. They couldn’t get us into our scheduled times for that day. Today, when seated to discuss the service, I let the stylist know that we had chosen to do the less expensive style- this woman immediately started yelling at us, in the middle of the salon, that she wasn’t going to do it! We had opted to do a style that was a $75 cost instead of a $250 treatment that wouldn’t have produced the desired results. She had a fit, stormed out of the Salon and refused to keep the appointment. We both left, they lost 2 customers today. We do NOT recommend this salon. They tried to push a higher priced service instead of what we discussed, and displayed terrible customer service when we said no. The whole salon went quiet while she made this scene. It was incredibly embarrassing. The worst part is that most of them are fresh out of beauty school and expect high pay for lack of skills, knowledge, or professional behavior. Entitlement behavior is not conducive to good service.

Horrible. I asked for a long bobbed haircut, which is around shoulder length. All she basically did was cut my hair straight across at the shoulder. Was done in 15 minutes. No blending at all. I did ask for it, but it just doesn't look right to me with what I've got in the past and it seems like my hair was just getting cut shorter and shorter. I guess it was my fault for choosing something fast. Forgot her name, but I think it started with a K, maybe Kristen.Service: Haircut

I recently went to Attitude Salon to get my hair done, Dawn from Attitude Salon totally damaged and messed my hair up so bad, I showed her a pic of what I wanted and when she was done my hair was the total opposite! She said she would refund my money, I saved her text message saying that. Well I was so embarrassed to go out in public to I went to JcPenny salon and found my new miracle worker VICTORIA. She was just so sweet, kind, polite, she was honest with me, but she FIXED MY HAIR!! She is the best stylist I’ve ever seen, and she is now my new hair stylist! Everyone at JcPenny salon are all kind and respectful! I recommend this place to anyone who wants their hair done and wants it done right.THANK YOU VICTORIA!!!

This review is for the JCPenney's in the Valley Hills Mall in Hickory, NC. There were two cashiers for the entire store during a huge back to school sale. One upstairs and one downstairs. I went to the register upstairs and there were 11 people in line. I went downstairs and had to ask THREE employees standing around together chatting on the sales floor where I could check out. I get over there and the cashier is checking out one person with three more in line. The second person in line had a large shopping cart (not sure where they found that) overflowing with clothing. It was going to take quite awhile for them to check out. There was no one there helping the cashier to at least remove hangers and bag items. I am tired of businesses using Covid and a lack of employees, for justifying terrible customer service. Especially when three employees were right there doing nothing but socializing, as customers were being forced to wait to check out. They lost my sale. I put my items down and left.

I Usually Get Karen to do my hair, but most of the time they don't do my hair as I requested.Just got a haircut, and requested 1" on the top and the sides faded, she did 2" on the top instead of 1"...... I will go back... maybe next time I will get what I requested

This is the best salon around. Ask for Karen, and your experience will be amazing. I've had countless horrible experiences over the last few years with getting my haircut, and one appointment with Karen put an end to them.

Anytime I have used this place for a haircut they have been great but today I had an appointment for 6:30 that I scheduled 2 days ago. I called right at 6:30 cause I was running a couple mins behind and just wanted to let them know but when I called the lady told me that Victoria that was supposed to do my hair had to leave early and had tried to call me several times to tell me so. I was about to pull into the mall when she told me this and when I looked at my call logs there were no missed calls from any unknown numbers, only numbers I knew. I can't believe that a salon as expensive as JcPenney and as "professional" would just allow this to happen without trying to at least schedule me with another stylist or something. I am so upset with this experience.Service: Haircut

10 out of 10, Jeri took GREAT care of me, it was my first time ever doing anything with my hair (frosted tips/highlights) I was so nervous but she has many years of experience and goes the extra mile to make sure she delivers GREAT service, not just GOOD.
