We spent $2500 on a custom CR Laine ottoman. Within 9 months of ownership, both of the legs got wobbly and fell off the ottoman. A third leg is about to fall off. CR Laine is NOT standing by its product, and will not replace it, despite it clearly being manufactured so poorly. DO NOT buy from CR Laine. If something goes wrong, they will NOT stand by their product.

I just received two custom sofas from CR Laine. I have been buying furniture from this company over 30 years and still have pieces that look brand new. I am waiting for the furniture store to send someone out to look at these, but there is no way that I am keeping these sofas. There are so many issues I am not willing to accept repairs. I am absolutely sick to think they would send furniture that looks like this.

We bought a velvet sectional made by CR Laine in the fall of 2021. It is a gorgeous piece and was not inexpensive. Less than two years later, the cushions are in need of being fully resewn. The seams are not holding up under normal wear. I live in NC and make an effort to buy locally made furniture because it is usually better quality than other options. this is an exception. The company does not answer the phone or email. I am bitterly disappointed and will never buy another piece from CR Laine.

I purchased two chairs from CR Laine, both chairs were poorly constructed. CR Laine isn't taking ownership of the poor workmanship. See photo and CR Laine poor response.

We bought two highly priced and supposedly high quality leather chairs manufactured by this company. Within 6 months the chairs faded and so we went back to the retailer to see what could be done. The retailer claimed no responsibility and referred us back to CRLaine. They told us that we had not cared for the chairs properly and stated that we should not have put them in sunlight. We told them that the chairs are in a north facing room and not subjected to sunlight. CRLAINE then told us that we should have window treatments to deflect direct sunlight. We told them that our north facing windows do in fact have sunlight defusion treatment and offered to have their reps come and inspect. They then went silent and wouldn’t respond. So, please please don’t deal with this company as you may get burned like we did.

I have been in the furniture industry for over 28 years in both manufacturing and retail. This company is of the highest integrity. Their fabric assortment and their marketing team are held in the highest regard for professionalism and quality of the product. Now as a designer I love their responsive customer service and our sales representative takes care of the very few issues we ever have if they arise. I wish I could give them perfect 10 stars.
