Called to verify some information before making the 20min drive in person and was left on hold 41 minutes then they hung up on me. I cannot get anyone to stay on the phone long enough to answer a simple question before wasting the gas to drive there. Limited hours and rude staff!

I sold some timber to finish my mortgage. Nov 21 I deposited the check into my account. now they tell me I cannot have the funds until November 29 I wish I’d never took the check there and use my hometown bank. Never again. it was as if they didn’t have $23,000 in the bank to cover the check.Oh by the way The lady at the counter told me I could use it the next day. Ha ha ha.

I tried cashing a check that came from my job the job that I have direct deposit with Bank of America they tell me they can't cash it she say if you deposit the check you will have it the next day so I did so now its on hold till the 6th of October and crazy thing is I was moving from North Carolina that same day my job cut me the check to do so. And with that being said Bank of America is not a good idea for the future ?

Stop being cheap and hire more employees. My frustration is with BOA and not with the employees of this branch. Jose, the manager, is a tremendous employee, and the way he handles everything is to be admired. Jose was the only one, and he was multitasking, helping multiple customers and making sure everyone was taken care of. The wait time was short. He looked like a baseball player running all the bases, and I was impressed with the way he did everything since he didn't look stressed or angry. There were three more employees, and they were serving customers at the counter and office, but there were no more employees to help them. I asked Jose what time they closed for lunch and if he wanted me to bring them food since I didn't see it possible for them to go out to eat, and his response was that his priority was to serve all his clients and that his employees could take lunch and eat. I still wonder if they managed to take some kind of break and eat. You can't run a business without enough employees to handle the number of clients you have. It is the only branch here in Hickory, and if BOA does not plan to open another branch, then hire enough employees for the only branch we have. I have to say that as frustrating as it is to see how these employees have to handle everything without enough support, the atmosphere was pleasant and familiar, and Jose, along with his three employees, were doing a fantastic job smiling and helping each other to maintain everything under control. Visit this branch, and you will see that these employees work hard and that clearly BOA needs to do something to help them. They are the only branch in all of Catawba County, and they have left us with no other option because the bigger they get, the less they care about their customers. BOA only cares about Charlotte; there are branches one on top of the other, while in our BOA area, they closed Lenoir, Marion, and Viewmont; there is only one left in Hickory. Do something and thank these employees for the work they are doing to make BOA look like the best bank around.

Brought a returned check here to verify funds. Staff couldn't tell me if the check was good or bad! Incompetent?? Was told we'd have to redeposit the check to find out if it was good and if it's not good we'd be charged $25 once again for an insufficient funds check!! Beyond insanity. Our business will no longer accept checks from BofA.

All the previous review explains most of my review also. Just a unfriendly branch. All of their branch have been closed. This explain the management, pitiful. Over heard two employees discussing others sleeping with each other. Now that was just what customers need to know.

This is the most slowest, inconsiderate bank and people that work there. There drive-thru waiting is horrible and inside is just as bad. I don't understand why people use this bank. There are getting this one star only because you have to to be able to post. Hickory's Bank of America is the worst.

This is the worst branch I ever seen! Stay away from this branch to avoid your nightmare!! My client went to this branch deposit 2 checks on Jul 25, 2022 morning into my account. one check is $1000, one check is $390, totaled $1390. The teller typed $1300 on her receipt, she went back ASAP, informed the mistake teller made. She was told they fixed it. Tuesday, bank took out $520 from my account because teller mistakenly put check one is $390, check two is $390, the same check deposited twice. therefore, bank owes me $610. On Jul 27, Jackie, the manager called me and admitted that they made the mistake, she apologized and informed me that she credited $610 into my account. I saw the pending credit of $610 to my account. Unfortunately the credit of $610 disappeared on Jul 28, 2022. My client called the branch again. I tried to call over 10 times, but they never answered the phone!! I saw $610 credit pending to my account yesterday afternoon on Jul 28, 2022 again, but $610 disappeared today on Jul 29 again. Obviously they do not know how to fix the error they created!! Their incompetency is beyond my imagination!! 5 days after, BOA still can not correct their mistake, still owes me $610. if they can't make your deposit correct, the most simple and straightforward task, how can you trust your money with them? what a shame!!

Carrie helped us today as we opened a new checking account and she was wonderful! She was very professional, kind, and super helpful. We are excited to be starting new accounts with Bank of America. Our first impression was a stellar one.

I can't speak on other stuff that this bank offers but I can speak on home loans. My client worked with Jenna and it was a disaster. She kept dragging her feet as well as the underwriters. Thankfully, we were able to close but had to bring the supervisors to get any answers to make sure that is was going to close. Was a massive headache.

Severely under-staffed. Waiting times are atrocious. My advice- join a non-profit credit union. Commercial banks work only for the stockholders.
