Never use avis, ever.I rented a car here, they gave me a car with pretty significant damage. I was given a form to give when I dropped the car off, it was the damage form.Reluctantly, I took the car. Took photos and video of it before even opening the door (check out the photo I attached…..THIS is the quality of avis rentals).Used the car and dropped it off. Three months pass, all must be good, right? NOPEThree months after rental I get an email saying I owe close to $1500 for damage and they want my insurance info so they can file a claim. I email this company, who are glacial with their response times, photo and video proof that the damage was preexisting. They stop corresponding. I sent follow up emails to no avail. Therefore I foolishly assumed the drama was over. NOPE, when avis wants you to fix their car for free, they don’t stop.About a month after my last email from sedwick claims, I get a letter from viking collections. Yeah, avis turned this over to collections. I send them a dispute and am now waiting to see what is going on.As an aside, after sending viking the dispute, I contacted avis who were oh so helpful. They basically told me that these two companies are my problem, not theirs.So, as I now look around for a good attorney to bring legal into this, I am warning others. Don’t use avis. This is what I tell my friends, family, and anyone who asks. I now warn you, stranger.

I will never rent a car from them ever again. I'm still trying to get my money back they doubled charged me. For a car that was dirty and I brought it back before my date. The ppl, at the service desk are rude. And really can't help you with your questions and when they do, it ends up being wrong info they charged me 817 twice. The problem is they don't know what they are doing. Everyone is not on the same pg. I'm in the midst of taken actions against them right now.

We rented an SUV earlier this year and realized the vehicle that we had chosen was just too small for us. I called Avis the next morning before we left town and they immediately let us come back and choose another vehicle. They were wonderful to work with.

Horrible service - Avis told me to go to any location to exchange a problematic vehicle. This man refused to help me stating he did not want to get a bad car and I should go back to the airport. This man should not be in charge of a rental car company.

The car wasn't cleaned at all the inside had food in the cup holds trash under the seat and the car on the outside was dirty from the last person who rented it...

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !! The owner/operator is very rude!!! Wouldn’t honor corporate code, made me rebook car at full price!! No big deal, I don’t mind paying!! He asked for identification and credit card.. THE OWNER/OPERATOR told me my Identification (ID) wasn’t valid!!! I have my Cdl class A!! He ran it through a fraud machine (I rent from major airports weekly) never had an issue with avis! He goes to ask if my license are valid… He has my American Express card flipping it back and forth… At this point I stated you’re kidding, what do you have against me .. I felt very offended! I told him I would Uber to Charlotte to get a car, rather than deal with him!!!

Great people excellent customer service. Always looking out for me when i need to extend a day. Never had a issues with anything while renting out one of the car. I love renting from this place and i will keep coming back here. This is the cheapest place to rent a car here in hickory. Highly recommend anyone who needs a car for rent.

I was Mia treat by the red head lady that closes at 6 she argued with me telling me that the car I left my shades in was a one way. She was rude the prior day. I know she is racist cause never once did I disrespect her I just show up black hope god lays hands on here quickly before I do

Staff here always has everything ready, is easy to work with. Only drawback in this location is there is no Dropbox so you MUST return during business hours which are limited on weekends.

We reserved a car got to hickory nc location and they did not have the car we requested instead a suv....then they said they couldnot rent to us and are independent which we found out thet are corporate owned...the manager was extremly rude as well...so the rent was denied....they kept the 50 dollar deposit and they charged again so 100 dollars gone...we spoke with customer service and they said that all was refunded it was not charged more even though we received nothing but a headache and was charged and 2 days later they took more money..claim number is 48938256....donot rent from them they are thiefs steal money and no help from corporate at all go else where you will have money taken out not authorized....
