Great car! One frustrating thing, when our flight out of Asheville, NC was cancelled d/t the hurricane, we weren’t allowed to return the car to another airport.

Overall the vehicle was clean & durable. I requested a Toyota RAV4 or something similar. The unit they had reserved was a Jeep Willys. My wife is 5’ tall and wasn’t so good for her! No running boards so she struggled getting in & out of passenger side. I made a call to exchange for sometime else and they offered me a step stool.
I will request a sedan the next time.
Lesson learned!

Despite the construction going on at the Asheville Airport, it was pretty easy to get to the car rental trailer and pick up the keys. However, my car was not in the spot they told me it was. I was wandering around in the heat and humidity trying to find my car. It was on a different level of the parking lot from where I was told it was. Pretty frustrating. Other than that, the rental was fine, and no issues. The car had Android auto, and the charging port charged my phone pretty quickly.

When I made the rental arrangements it was through AAA using my Hertz membership for a Hertz car. When I got to Asheville my car was in the Dollar Rental system. I was told no worries hertz and Dollar are the same. I did not get my hertz points.
When I returned the car our flight from Asheville had been cancelled and I could not get another flight for 2 days. So I decided to drive back to NJ. The Dollar Rental would not let me return the car in Newark NJ. They were a franchise and would only allow returns at AVL or a nearby other franchise location.
Hertz and Dollar need to hold the original reservations and also let customers know if they are using a company rental site or a franchise. Makes a big difference.
I had to get an Enterprise Rental to get a car I could drop in NJ from NC.

Car was clean, it was cheap, everything seemed fine.
I filled up the gas to full 5 minutes before dropping it off and then got a bill from them for $150 for gas… Had to argue with them to get a refund for that insane charge.
Make sure to keep your gas receipt and take a picture of the gas meter when you drop it off.

Pick up took longer than return since there was only one agent on a Friday afternoon to handle quite a long line of customers. I was surprised that at least two agents were not helping on a weekend. Luckily I had time to get to my destination.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The Chevy Trax was the perfect size car. The pick-up and drop off was easy.

The location was excellent making it quick and easy to pick up and drop off your car. The car was ready and it was a newer model. Everything went very smooth.

The employees were kind and helpful. The car was clean and great. We fly to Asheville often to visit family. This rental experience was by far the best we have ever had. This is our new go to for rentals. The other companies do not compare!

Will not answer phone, at all. Called for hours and no answer. Drop off instructions nonexistent. Horrible. Just horrible

EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED.
When I got to the counter I was informed there were no trucks available. The lady at the counter had the keys to a truck and said “sorry, it’s been sold”, not rented, sold. I made this reservation in April! I had to go to a different rental car company and get a lesser truck for more money because last minute rates, as we all know, are more than book-ahead rates.
Had the other company not had a truck (albeit not as big as I needed), I don’t know what would’ve happened. Trip ruiner for sure.
