We recently had one of our checks counterfeited and had to open a new account. From the initial paperwork involving reimbursement for the check and opening the new account, we received an exceptional amount of attention and assistance fromKatie Davis and Jamie Herget. Katie was with us from the beginning to a successful solution of the issue and Jamie filled in as needed. We came back to Home Trust after trying First Citizens in Mills River NC.Even though the Home Trust Bank is further away from our home, we decided to go back to a locally owned bank. While making the switch, Tamara Loflin at the Hendersonville branch took care of our switch, including credit cards. We could not be happier. It is such a joy to be able to visit our Home Trust bank and have our banking needs taken care of in a professional and courteous manner. Tamara is what my wife and I call a lynchpin employee, someone who makes everything work smoothly in an organization.

I had recently been scammed and was concerned. Tamara was so pleasant, understanding and helpful. She took all my information, cancelled my Debit Card, missed me a Temporary Debit Card to use until my new one came in and reported everything to the bank fraud department. She told me I should receive a credit on my account for the money I had lost due to this fraud. During the transaction I felt like I had made a new friend. Thanks!

I have been with this bank for 25 years. It used to be a good bank, but in the past few years things have changed. They seem to now be catering to the wealthy, and are of not much help to long term, smaller accounts. The customer service is non existent. Accounts are switched over without having a customer's consent or signature. They now charge fees that didn't used to exist. The branch manager put me on hold for 20 minutes (and counting) with no communication. This is an unacceptable way to be treated, especially as a long standing customer.

It was a good bank in the past but has gone down hill lately. It caters to the well to do clients and charges too many fees to the little patrons. We banked there 25 years but now have withdrawn all our funds and deposited them elsewhere.

Excellent customer service both by phone and in person. I was able to communicate with a bank representative immediately and they took the steps to solve the issue in a reasonable amount of time. I've only been to the HomeTrust Bank a handful of times (I have a Safe Deposit Box with them), and every time it's been a good experience. On my latest visit, I had to take care of some administrative details and Taylor Nunez, the Branch Manager, was super helpful and accommodating. She made what could have been a tedious and time-consuming task very easy.
