Clay county dental is a nice clean clinic, the reason I'd rate them below five stars is because twice I've gone to make an appointment for my daughter's teeth cleaning they have made mistakes on her appointment times or just changed her appointment time without notification or permission. Also the very last teeth cleaning appointment was the fastest I've ever known a person's teeth to be done thoroughly, based on previous experiences and that's with a child who does good in the chair.
Hopefully this review is taken as a matter of constructive feedback that can better these hiccups for patients and future ones.

Receptionist was rude, claiming I was 20 minutes late to a 2:40 appointment even though the automated text system showed the appointment was at 3:00 (I was there a couple minutes early actually). Mind you, nowhere in this notification did it say parents can't go back with their kids—because I wouldn't have bothered to schedule or proceed with going. I was caught off guard when they called my 8 year old back and did not allow me back. I immediately went up to the receptionist to cancel all of my other children's appointments because they were even younger. The lady was not understanding to my reasoning and was honestly annoyed that I wasn't okay with just allowing my children to go back into the office without my presence...it's not the world for that. Her response was that this is how it is everywhere, when I know that is not accurate. There should be exceptions to every rule, if they were all 12 and over fine but for an 8, 7, and 5 year old, no thanks. If there was more respect and understanding I wouldn't have even bothered to review.

Would give 0 stars if i could. I have been going to this dentist for about two years now because they are the only local medicaid accepting dentist. I have a friend who tried to warn me about this office multiple times because of what they did to him.I have went for normal cleanings, as well as appointments for sensitivity due to grinding my teeth in my sleep. I corrected the teeth grinding myself, and about a year ago I started having sensitivity and made an appointment when they told me nothing was wrong. In September 2021, I went again when i told them i had a chipped tooth by the gum line, they saw me all of about 10 minutes, took some x-rays, scraped my teeth, then told me I had 6 cavities. They scheduled me 6 MONTHS out to have the two front (worst) cavities corrected. I had to make an emergency appointment today because those two have been causing me some major pain, they were supposed to fix them today, all I got was more x-rays, told I have 4 cavities and two of them having progressed to the point of decalcification. They only cleaned my teeth and sent me on my way and told me to wait until my next appointment in another month.Absolutely FURIOUS, this is a problem that this dentist office could have prevented if they just listened to their patients when they make their initial appointments. PLEASE, if you need a dentist who accepts Medicaid, go to Dr. Alvaro Lopez in Brevard. He sees many of the patients that this dentist office has screwed over.

Very sweet and friendly staff. They have taken care of my teeth while I'm pregnant. Only good things to say about them.

I lost a filling a year ago and have continuously tried to get an appointment (due to lack of affordable dentistry in the area) but continue to be told "not taking any new patient's".

Dr. Lima does not show up for appointments or call their client to cancel. Both hygienists are extremely rude. The office is a nightmare to deal with.
