If you're looking for a place where your concerns are dismissed and you're treated like an inconvenience, look no further than Southern car connection, where the so-called "manager," John, reigns supreme. I made the mistake of expecting basic customer service, but instead, I was met with John's smug arrogance.
When I brought up a legitimate issue, he couldn't have been more uninterested. He had the nerve to call my concerns "irrelevant" and told me I was "wasting his time." It's almost laughable how someone with such a complete lack of people skills is allowed to manage anything, let alone a dealership.
John’s behavior was not just unprofessional—it was pathetic. If he thinks belittling customers is a sign of leadership, then he’s sorely mistaken. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being insulted by someone who clearly has no idea how to do his job.
No idea how he is still in business it should be called Southern Customer Disconnection.

RUDE service. I saw a vehicle posted online for sale through their website, and when I texted about said vehicle, his response was very condescending. He was very sarcastic, and not helpful at all. Lousiest salesman I have ever dealt with.

If you want someone who is going to be real and straight up, this is the place for you. If you want someone to be fake and stroke your ego, then this is not the place for you. If you want a good car for a fair price this is the right place. Im not sure what the negative review people expect, but they sound a little karenish. Newsflash, the world doesnt revolve around you. You have to be realistic when dealing with a mom and pop dealer especially one that has a staff of one or two. This isnt Hendrick or Target where there is an abundance of people to wait hand and foot on you. Its a used car dealership which is honest and a rarity. Get your cars checked out by certified mechanics if you are worried. These guys are as good as they come and I have bought a lot of cars. They definitely deserve a better star rating than they have. Problems will happen, its all in how you react and interact, if you jump down their throats like their thieves and swindled you, how do you think someone is going to naturally react? If you approached them in a respectful way, wow what a difference. No matter the transaction always get a vehicle independently verified, researched and looked at by a professional. But as far as used car guys go, they are a 5 star class act all the way.

For your information SIR!!! I never applied for credit because of your lack of interaction and observing the condition of your vehicles once I stopped by to look at them. My scores are well in the 700's and would not have had a problem getting approved. I just dont gamble with junk and shady people.

Southern car is where we take our personal and our company vehicles. They’ve been our mechanic for over 20 years. Very reasonable pricing honest, quick, and a very easy company to work with. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. And I highly recommend Southern Car Connection to anyone and everyone.Thank Pete, Ale, Blake, and Peanut. Y’all are the Best!!!!!!!!!

Avoid???? same day of purchase contacted with issues. Text messages from the date of purchase to show off issues. TEXT MESSAGES DONT LIE. From the date of purchase. I can do whatever I please in or to my car I pay for. Smell has nothing to do with fixing the issues. Unprofessional

I used to work with one of the owners, Pete, for many years for repairs, recommendations and solid cars. Now they do not answer the main number listed on the website (with no voicemail set up). I called the number listed with the car inventory and was put on hold twice and then told by ‘John’ to tell him ‘quickly, quickly’ what I wanted. It was weird and rude and he basically ran me off the phone, saying he wouldn’t have conversation with me because he had other people on hold.

Do not buy a car from here. Very Shady car lot. Cars are busted up and asking full price for them. And they kept my deposit on a faulty car. I had the car 4 days.

DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE! I've gone to Pete for over 8 years and have never had any issues. I needed inspections and oil changes on two vehicles. Called several times before anyone answered. Pete scheduled an appt and eveything went great. I dealt with a guy that was detailing cars, still everything ok. My 86 year old mother needed brakes, started calling over the course of a couple of weeks, no one ever answered. She drove up there yesterday. This same guy detailing cars told her they don't answer that phone anymore, don't do brakes anymore, only worked on cars of friends and people who buy cars from them. She told them she's been going to Pete for years. He asked if she had Pete's cellphone, she said no and he told her he guessed she'd have to find somewhere else to go. Needed to say I drove up there and had a few words with him. Nasty, rude and disrespectful. I don't know if Pete is aware that he's driving his business away, maybe Pete doesn't care. I hate it because I've always had great service from him. Things were great when Rob was there. I'll never go back.

I have been a customer at Southern Car Connection’s for over 10 years. They have worked on my truck in my Mustang and it always done a great job. Pete has always been a pleasure to work with and extremely honest and helpful. If I needed something done to my vehicle and they could not help me Pete would find somebody who could.
