I came to this salon for a gel mani & pedi bc they didn't seem busy & i didnt have time to go to my normal spot in Charlotte. Now I understand why they were not busy on a Friday evening at 5. The older lady thay helped me had a bad attitude. She used the drill to get my old gel polish off and it was painful on my hands and toes. She continued to hit my cuticles. When I told her it was painful she told me I was too sensitive. I said normally they soak it to let it get soft. She told me I should have gone to where I normally go. I'll definitely take her advice & will NEVER go to JV Nail ever again. She stopped in the middle of my service 2 times to wax someone.Their polish is old & clumpy. The gel on both my hands & toes is not smooth. Also they don't have as many color choices as most salons. This place is old & dark. Definitely not an upscale salon. I would not recommend.

Completely disappointed. Came in with my daughter . She wanted French tips and I wanted a design . The one lady took her back , the other lady started helping meshe asked me what I was wanting so I showed her. She stated she was unable to do it so I told her I would look for something else . Next thing I know she starts on someone else . I sat there for 45 minutes after my daughter was done they offered to start on me. Head I known they were gonna make me wait we would have gone else where that could do us at the same time. Completely unprofessional to start helping one person and then just go help someone else. On top of that my daughter asked for a French tip what she got was a mostly white nail. I have never seen a tip almost cover the whole name .We will not be returning and I will would not recommend to anyone else. You get what you pay for go to east your time here !!

If I could give 0 stars...I would! Thin older lady with long hair and glasses....EXTREMELY RUDE. She rushed on my moms mani/pedi...when asked to slow down due to the half polished nails, cuticles not being well taken care of and simply refusing to scrub the bottom of her feet more with a different tool she rolled her eyes and started speaking her native language to "MaMa." Mama was amazing on my mani /pedi but a 6 yr old could paint nails better than her. Mama was pleasant. But $90 later, we both walked out with our nails horribly painted (entire nail not painted- especially on the sides. To the point where you can see old nail polish that wasnt fully removed) and an overall poor experience. Went for relaxation and walked out aggravated. Definitely do not plan to return. Only tip I can give for my experience at this salon is to work on their customer service and customer experience.

They’re clean and polite. It’s not over populated. They’re very professional. And the prices are super reasonable. I drive past 4 nail salons happily to get to them.10/10 totally recommend

I went in for a full set. The one lady seemed very nice but there was another lady who ended up doing my nails. It was by FAR the worst experience I’ve ever had at a salon. During the process I told her that I wanted my nails short which she made a face and seemed bothered by that. Then as she was buffing them she cut my finger. A few minutes later I flinched in pain so much that I pulled my hand away. She replied with, “this is why I hate short nails.” A few minutes later she cut a third finger. She finished my full set in 18 minutes. She didn’t even put a top shiny coat on. When I left she said, “I’ll be more gentle next time.” I responded with there won’t be a next time. I left there and went home and by that evening my fingers were hurting so bad. It was an awful experience, she was very rude, and my nails look pretty rough. I would highly recommend not going here. There are too many ones in the same area that are much better.
**Edit, I went to another place today and got them to fix the shape and smooth them out as well as add a shiny top coat.

I don’t like to write bad reviews. I usually just don’t write a review if it’s not good, but how does that help people? I have gotten a few pedicures from here and they’ve been decent, but I got a manicure for the first time at this location and…it was not enjoyable.
I don’t get manicures done often, but have never had someone intentionally nip my cuticles over and over again when using the drill. My fingers are now extremely sore and painful because she nicked my skin over and over again, and even caused a bleed on my pinky cuticle. She also insinuated that the nails weren’t turning out well because I was moving too much, when I was reallllly trying to not move whatsoever.
Unfortunately I will not be returning to JV Nails, even with the staff being pretty nice ladies.
The accompanying pictures show the redness around my fingers, especially the straight line that dug my skin out from the drill on my left index finger (circled in blue).

Beware of shady business practices here. My acrylic set cost me $100! In the images, it doesn't appear to be a bad set, but a simple PATTERNLESS multi color set for $100? Outrageous. Prices were not clear. Sign on the building is outdated for where prices start. When asking about using multiple colors, I was only told "it would cost more" but not how much exactly. I was also scammed into believing there was a more durable method that would prevent my nails from coming off as easily at work, since I work with my hands a lot. So somehow we got from $35 starting to $100. About a week or two into having the set, one of them splits in half. And then the paint color begins to deteriorate, leaving splotches all over my nails where the color is disappearing. Along with a few more popping off before I gave up and took them off myself. No where near worth the price I paid. And get this: I did some research and there is NO such thing as "more durable" acrylic for working. Go figure! Never coming back.Service: Acrylic nails

Wish it was a better experience but tell me it's going to take more than 2 hours for an sns mani. Mani was rushed and incorrect. The search continues...Added pic of my bleeding cuticles. Ouch.

You get what you pay for here. If you expect to have a sanitary pedicure or manicure you are at the wrong place. You come here for the price not the customer service or sanitation. The ladies that work here are nice, but it’s so unsanitary it’s kind of ridiculous. They don’t line the pedicure bowl with plastic, they don’t use disposable metal tools or even disposable feet scrubbers which is so digusting. They lady was touching her hair, glasses and even the register with the gloves she use for my pedicure. I also have a feeling they reuse gloves here. Not to mention they have a refrigerator by the sink that they constantly go in and out of, there’s litterally raw chicken in the refrigerator. But if you just want a cheap pedicure come here but pray you don’t get an infection!Service: Pedicure

I read all the bad reviews before coming here but I really wanted to give this place a shot, especially since pedicures are only $25. But, I really won’t be coming back. The few employees they have were friendly but they were busy running off to do something else every few minutes. The lady paused my moms pedicure to go wax a girls eyebrows that had just walked in. My toes were barely filed and my cuticles weren’t even cut. Plus it looks like a child polished them. Just really unhappy because these are my “birthday nails”. I’ll continue going elsewhere.
