Store manager needs training in customer service among other things, I bought a water hose which was defective upon purchase , I had my receipt a.nd they would not refund it, Hutchens is store manager ?? Needs better customer service skills, I will never spend a dime in a dollar general again, they are the worst , stores always in disarray, not clean or neat, so glad they don't my business ?

Really unprofessional place, open 10 minutes after. The lady that open today at 8:10 had an attitude, I was by the cashier she didn't even say hello I'll be helping you at this register and stare at me with an attitude. I proceeded to ask if they did westerunion she replied they didn't. I ask her then why was there a sign of it and she keep with her attitude so I left. Also the store has a paper sign of no children under 16 year old without parental supervision while that is not part of store policy.

My boyfriend is 19 and went in there to buy a lighter and a few other things. We were under the impression, because we’ve bought them multiple times before from dollar general, that you have to be 18 to purchase a lighter. When the lady asks how old he is and he tells her, she says that you have to be 21 to purchase the lighter. He asks “are you sure?” and she flips out, saying that she was being generous when asking 21, that truthfully you have to be 30. She claims that a 17 year old came in “trying” the same thing. My boyfriend wasn’t “trying” anything, he was buying a lighter because he’s of age, and when you look it up you’ll see that the minimum age to purchase a lighter is in fact 18. Even if the age was higher, there’s no reason to act that way towards a customer.

Wishe it were an option to do no stars. Absolutely the worst customer service! I went to buy two items yesterday, and there were no cashiers available anywhere. When I was finally ready to buy my 2 items, I had to wait for a cashier. She finally came out from the little room in the front, on the phone, and had a whole conversation with somebody that she lived with. (Talking about cleaning her house and whose chores it was to do so) didn't even greet me or acknowledge me. Took my 2 items that I put down on the register, scanned them, and still talking on the phone. She didn't tell me how much the items were, I had to look down at the register to see how much it was, I put my card in and paid, she bagged them, handed the items to me and didn't say a word to me. While still talking on the phone. She didn't even look at me. It was such a weird experience, I will never ever go back there again.

HORRIBLE customer service and FILTHY!!! The two girls working tonight were awful! Living near by its always such a convenient store. After this evening I will NEVER return.

Visited this store back in July 21st, 2023. Experience was not good, customer service was not the best interaction and the supervisor felt the need to get loud and rude while customer in store with my transactions. I have called corporate only for me to wait up until now with no response from district manager nor regional manager. I’m highly upset and will not visit this store again .
