I went to the trouble of setting up an appointment which which the earliest I could get was 2 months ahead. I was at my appointment 10 minutes early and was given a slip of paper with the number e455. Little did I know that I should have been given an a number rather than e since I had an appointment. I waited for an hour on a very rickety bench and there was not enough seating so I set right next to another. Other people were not so lucky there was no seating for them. The renewal itself went very smoothly and only lasted 5 minutes. Note. I attempted to give the man my appointment code but he sent me away.

I don't know why they put the dmv outside of town I think that was mind-boggling the location sucks.

quick and easy, im 17 and went to get my license today test was really quick and easy so if you're stressing about the test don't worry. Just know how to do a 3 point turn and control headlights and blinkers and you should do fine xd

Customer service is great at this location. I have been a couple of times since I just recently relocated to NC and had very pleasant helpful people each time. Also, this is one of the cleanest, most well organized DMV's I have ever been to ..

HORRIBLE SERVICE. RUDE “GREETER”First, there’s no signage to tell you what to do/that you have to check in and where. When I was finally told where I needed to go, the lady told me that she “didn’t have any tickets to give out at this time” and she said I could just wait around to see if a spot opened up…. like I have time to sit there for two hours just in case. All I needed to do was pay them $100 —- that’s it. I asked her “are you saying I have to sit here for a couple hours when all I need to do is give you $100 but you don’t know if I’m gonna be able to do that and then I’d have to drive all the way back down here again to do give you money?” She snapped at me and said “well first of all, ma’am, you’re here to pay $100 for something YOU did wrong.” NO I DID NOT. I was told everything was cleared up YEARS ago and just found out that NC DMV made a mistake and never cashed my check that I sent then. Now it’s been too long to handle it there; I was told I had to go to my local DMV. So I drove all the way down to the very inconvenient location to do that because there’s no secure way to do it online. So she assumes something, gets an attitude with me, and refused to find a way to fit me in just to pay $100. $65 “reinstatement fee” with a “$50 service charge” which is ridiculous to begin with. Then as I left, she sarcastically screamed. “Have a nice day!” at me and rolled her eyes. Horrible service. I will drive to another town before coming back to that location.

Well we went sat. The hours on map was wrong and so had over a dozen people waiting outside. We left at 8:15 after we found out they are closed on sat.

This was the only DMV I've been to where everyone was very nice and helpful. Did not have to wait in any lines or deal with anything unexpected. The staff is amazing, the lighting is pleasant, and AC is great. The best DMV out there as far as I'm concerned!

We had an appointment and all of our paperwork ready to go. They were all very nice, friendly, quick, and efficient. We were in and out in about 20-25 minutes. Great experience. Definitely make an appointment if you can!

A real hidden gem. I arrived at 11am on a Saturday to get my first NC license (moved from out of state), they took me right away and I was done within 10 minutes! Worth the hour plus drive. Place is new and well-kept with abundant parking.
