If I could give -100000 stars I would. Leslie the manager is condescending, arrogant, racist and beyond rude.I prepaid for a rental car. I went to pick up said rental. My cousin took me on her lunch break. Leslie lied to me and told me that it would be an $800 hold and he would need to do a credit check. I have rented with budget before and never had to do that before. He pointed at a random sign and told me to read it. Sign said nothing about a credit check or an $800 hold. So I went out to my cousins car and called customer service and they told me as long as I used a major credit card it would only be a $200 hold. I went back into Leslie and explained to him that I had customer service on the phone and that he was wrong. He was mad that I didn’t just let him scam me and his demeanor got even worse. I told him I had a major credit card to use. He looked at me and very condescendingly said ‘yea but it has to have your name on it’ I said ‘of course it does!’He pointed his finger in my face about 3 inches from my face and told me he was not renting me a car and that I needed to leave because I’m rude. He told my cousin that I needed trained like a dog. I was on the phone with customer service for over an hour and a half and he still refused to give me the rental that I had already paid for!! He treated people of color completely different than he treated me. I was on the phone with customer service still when the other customer of color even agreed that Leslie treated my cousin and I differently than he treated her. I’m not sure what his problem was with me other than the color of my skin.I have spoken to many budget managers and sent over voice recordings that we got. They are trying to make this right. I ended up having to drive my cousins car to Raleigh and then she has to drive and her her car when she got off work. I was supposed to pick my rental up at 12 noon and didn’t end up heading home until almost 4pm!Absolute terrible customer service. As long as Leslie works here I will never deal with them again. He should not be working in customer service.

My first car died in the middle of driving it down the road in a state I’m not from.Second car ended up getting a flat tire when we called roadside assistance they told us to go to an airport to get a new car when we got there with the tow truck- and two kids- they told us they didn’t have a car it wasn’t their problem and to call roadside back so they could figure it out.When we did finally get a car it smelled like marijuana and had stains all over from the previous driver.

Leslie is the best customer service rep I have ever dealt with at a rental car establishment…. This man deserves a raise, he is personable, knowledgeable, friendly and knows his job well. If you want to be treated right see Leslie.

If I could give a -star that would be more than they deserve! Made online reservation a week ago for pick up at 6pm. I was greeted by the nastiest, most arrogant and disrespectful person to ever work is customer service. He seemed to be upset beforehand but I attempted to move forward anyway. He rudely informed me my reservation was at 10am and had given my car away. I attempted to explain, as he loudly talked over me, that my reservation time was at 6pm and not 10am. He was rude and said "I don't have a car for you!!! What do you want me to say it in another language?" At that point we began to argue because to me a Mexican woman that was a racist remark! I proceeded to walk out. He walked all the way to the end of the other side of the counter still was shouting at me saying I was not going to get a car! I can not believe this is what customer service has come to. Leslie at Budget/Avis at Pitt-Greenville Airport is the ugliest person, inside and out, that I've come across in years!! I’m sure that he is not good for business!!

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!!!! I wish I could give a 0 zero or negative stars because thats what they deserve. They texted me they didn't have a truck for my reservation 2 days before I was supposed to pick up truck also the day I was scheduled to move out. I tried to contact the store number and got directed to corporate each time, who also didn't do anything to offer me any solutions to help the situations. I never write reviews so you should know that this experience was so awful I felt I needed to share with others so they don't trust a company that allows you to make reservations a month out then doesn't have what you need in a desperate situations.. Horrible horrible horrible customer service

DONT rent from here!!!! Go to the 321 E. Arlington location. There is only ONE EMPLOYEE working the counter and he is nasty and rude beyond measure!!! There was no supervisor in the entire airport the Monday after Christmas while we were being yelled at by an unreasonable person wearing a stocking cap on his head!!! SO UNPROFESSIONAL. I will NEVER use this Budget location ever again. And Customer Service Supervisors could do nothing but say "I'm sorry" when this person yelled and screamed at us for asking why we waited almost one hour for him to clean a car even though his sign said he would be back in 15 minutes? Budget lost two customers today and hopefully all the customers who read this review.

Cancelled on a prepaid 20 minutes before pick up had to take smaller seating, less gas mileage as needed vehicle for same price. Vehicle was not suitable for our needs and very uncomfortable and too small gas hog with rough ride...had no choice at last minute, rest assured I have choices in the future and they do not include Budget.

Budget car rental in Greenville Nc at Pitt county Airport is unbelievably ridiculous! They will not allow you to rent a car without a major credit card ??♀️ My husband got a last minute change for his job and has to be in SC and can make a reservation online but cannot rent without a major credit card. Seriously ? When we made the reservation through Expedia there was nothing stating such policy. We will never use them again ?

If you have other options, go elsewhere. We reserved a standard SUV, only to learn that they didn't have any available when we arrived. We were given a passenger van instead and had to wait over 15 minutes while they "cleaned" it (there were ants crawling on the exterior floorboards of the van once it finally arrived and a few made their way into the van as we drove).To make up for the substitution, the rental agent crossed out the fuel gauge reading on the rental agreement and put a lesser amount on it. He informed me that as long as I brought the van back with at least that much fuel in it, I wouldn't be charged extra for fuel.He scammed me.When the final bill was processed, I ended up being charged $100 more for not bringing the vehicle back fully fueled. I attempted to get refunded by contacting the rental office and a lady I spoke with there said she would put in a request for me, but it would take up to 5 business days for corporate to approve and process it. I waited over two weeks for the credit to appear before calling the corporate office. They had no record of the refund request having been submitted and the representative I spoke with asked me to email him copies of my fuel receipts so that I could receive the refund.This will be the last time I rent from Budget. Lesson learned: you get what you pay for.

Made the reservation through priceline. They did not honor the price and charged us an additional 70 something dollars and gave us the run around. Had to call them and deal with hours of customer service to get that refunded.Also, the car was disgusting! See pics below. Nasty sticky stuff on the seats, wipe marks, dirt and grime around the seats and a USED MASK in the center console. I asked budget for a refund and they refused (but apologized, lol). Companies speak with their dollars, so this is apparently an acceptable condition for their vehicles. Never again.

Except for the young man working at their counter, if I had any other options I would have done so!!! When I called it was obviously not local but someone who barely spoke English. Proceeded to make reservation for midsize car. I specifically asked if the car was at my nearby location bc I wud be driving 50+ miles. "Yes mam, it is there." We walk in and told no cars. Proceeded to tell me this happens all the time. Actually 6 times that day!!! He had 1 mini van and that was it. This is no way to conduct business and I will not be using in future.

We had a great experience at this location to rent a Budget moving truck. Thomas was very knowledgable and efficient in helping us reserve the truck on short notice. Thank you!
