I want to thank Kayleigh and her instructor for all the good work she did for me. I am enjoying the new hair cut and the many compliments that I have received since visiting with her.

I asked for a classic balayage. i was there from 9:15-3:30. I liked the level of brightness i achieved however my roots were not well blended and there was splotchiness of orange around my head. i was very unhappy once i got back home and looked at it in the light. I went back to ask for a refund. instead one of the instructors stayed an extra hour and a half after closing time to fix my hair. Now i’m happier with it. the customer service from the instructors is amazing and there are talented students. I recommend this place for haircuts or all over color and the pricing is amazing. ❤️

Terrible. Canceled hair appt 2 hours before with no explanation of why. No alternatives were made or tried. Extremely unprofessional. The girl on the phone was rude as well. I would not recommend this place. Not a trustworthy establishment for cosmetic needs.

I had a wonderful experience with Emily getting a shampoo and style at Alexander Paul institute. Emily was so professional & did a great job! If you need something done, don’t hesitate to go in here!

this salon is amazing!!! the stylists are still in training and while they may not know how to do something completely, the instructor does so you can be assured that your hair will turn out exactly how you wanted. i received a balayage and was blown away by how beautiful it turned out and how cheap it was. will definitely be coming back!

I graduated Alexander Paul in December 2022. I had a great experience at the school! I truly believe that education and instruction at Alexander Paul prepared me well to be a successful hair stylist! The program and staff are amazing and want to see you succeed! I also got a lot of experience because the campus is right beside ECU so there is not a shortage of clients. I highly recommend this school!!

I attended this school back 2019 and highly recommend this to everyone who is thinking about becoming a hairstylist to attend here. I learned a lot of good tips from their instructors on site and even from the classes they provide from senior stylists who travel around teaching us baby stylist tips and tricks. Even after you graduate the alumni has privileges that the school offers for continuing ed. I can’t stress enough how grateful I am of this institution. It’s like family if you play your cards right!

Alexander Paul was an amazing school! Harley was a fabulous teacher and I learned so much from her. I wouldn’t be as confident and where I am as a stylist if it wasn’t for Alexander Paul and Harley!!

I’ve been a hairstylist for 13 years after graduating from Alexander Paul. My best friend had to drag me in because I was scared to go tour alone, but it was the best decision I’ve ever made! This school gave me the best start for my career that I could have imagined. I’m still amazed at the skill level of students graduating from here.

I am recently a grad of Alexander Paul institute, and my experience there was very educational. There is a lot of first-hand education that happens within the classroom and on the salon floor. They provide numerous continuing education classes as within the day to day classes as well. There is also a lot of action that happens throughout the day that the instructors manage well. The relationships that I’ve made there have been pivotal in my schooling and I appreciate them so much. I’m so excited to carry those relationships with me into my hairstyling career.

I'm giving this 4 stars because the student,Reese, did a wonderful job on my hair and was so sweet ,kind, asking questions about what I wanted...I would have given 5 stars BUT the Instructor, Harley, helping my stylist student was absolutely down right mean every time she asked a question trying to make her look stupid for asking a question. She acted "better than thou" like a bully, rude when one girl asked to go to the restroom, rolling her eyes every time someone had to break her away from her phone to help..I felt so embarrassed and sorry for them students. I was in shock and could not believe how unprofessional and rude Harley and the other 2 girls at the desk with her was acting towards these students. As a mother to a 18 yr old I would be livid if I knew my child was having to work/learn in that kind of environment. I even asked my stylist if she was ok, she had tears in her eyes. I told her you're doing an amazing job and I appreciate you! Don't let her get to you!I truly hope there's an adult around more often to put these "instructors" in line and teach them how to teach others.

I had a wonderful experience while being a student at Alexander Paul! I went in knowledge but I left with more insight on technique color silks and more! I was pregnant throughout my attendance there and they worked with me and my situation and for that I was grateful I felt I was apart of a growing family ❤️

If you’re considering attending cosmetology school this is the place to be. Unlike most programs offered in the area AP offers more than just the basics for board exams. I thoroughly enjoyed learning from the instructors in each department. Bianca in the beginners department is the best person to guide and push you while learning techniques while making it enjoyable. Jessica (now campus director) was one of my instructors on the floor. She will encourage you and push you out of your comfort zone in the best way possible. Alex (owner and admin) has been a great resource for myself post grad in navigating job opportunities even a couple years after graduating.If you give it your all you’re going to come out a step above most newly licensed stylist. I have continued relationships with my instructors and the owners in the past 3 and a half years. As an alumni the educational resources and guidance offered by the staff is exceptional. It’s hard work and takes dedication however it’s more than worth it.
