*HERTZ Runs This Company* There is a reason this place has a 2.6 average which translates into half the people leave unhappy. 1st off book a car have it reserved for $150 and somehow car is not there and only a truck is available. 2nd $100 more than advertised price. 3rd bc of the truck instead of the car gas bill for trip went up bout an extra $150. So instead of originally thinkn bout $270ish trip turned into $480. Lastly their customer service is strait trash filled with attitude probably bc they have to deal with people being screwed over all day. Gaarbaaaage Company! Pure trash on a levels. I still smell the garbage smell from this hot steaming pile of mess of a place.

Nope! Don't use them. I'm currently trying to get a double charge and additional charges we did not want resolved. I reserved through Expedia and paid in full. Now Thrifty is charging again and adding on insurance charges. A huge hassle! Don't let their "low" prices pull you in. You'll end up being charges ridiculous amounts and hours of dispute You'll never get back in your life.

The WORST car rental experience ever. I rented a car from Raleigh Airport in April and was set to return the rental to Greensboro Airport. After I returned the vehicle thrifty sends me a bill for 2X the amount I was supposed to be charged. I called and explained that the charges were incorrect and they removed the excess charges that was related to the account because they verified that the charges should not have been charged to me. A month later I get a bill for the incorrect amount again. Again I had to explain to them that these charges were incorrect and that my bill has already been paid in full. Again the customer service rep could see that everything I told them was correct and could even see that I had called in previously and the erroneous charges were removed. I thought we were all cleared. Now here it is in November and I received another letter stating I owe them AGAIN. This is ridiculous and the worst company ever. I will never rent from the company ever again.

Thrify nashville airport my daughter is stranded. They took her visa chime to pay in full for her rental when she got there they told her she couldn't have the card because the visa chime is not a cardthey will hold. Then why let her reserve and pay for it to begin with?? And they won't refund it. This is entrapment. Now what thrifty??

It was a nightmare, staff were incompetent and not very nice. This was the worst I’ve ever experienced. And I waited one and a half hours for a car. Thrifty shame on you ?

RECORD RECORD RECORD - use your smartphone to record ALL angles of the vehicle when you return it to the lot. Make sure that you show that you're in their return "location slot #." KEEP THE RECORDING. Please don't delete it after you receive a clean receipt free of cleaning/damage fees. I rented a van on May 27th. Returned it on the 28th. ***There were no incidents or damage to the vehicle while in my possession.***On July 11th I received a damage claim from Alternative Claims Management. They also called me, left me voicemails, and sent me an email with a request for my insurance information as they are processing a claim relating to my rental.I called THIS Hertz location only to be put on hold and then disconnected during the first three calls. On the fourth call, I actually had the opportunity to talk to an attendant, who after hearing my issue, put me on hold for 7 minutes only to disconnect me. I called back twice after that only to immediately get placed on hold and then disconnected. So, I drove down there to talk to someone in person. Waited in line for 30 minutes. Talked to DuJon behind the counter. I showed him my documents: the copy of the rental agreement and the letter from Alternative Claims Management, and my proof of trip coverage through another agency. When I asked for an incident report he just gives me a blank stare. When I explain that the damage claim was filed through this office and that I'd like to see the claim, he said "we don't have that here." He asked if I took pictures of the van when I returned it. I did, but then deleted the video once I had the clean receipt. (Now that it's been over 30 days since I deleted the video, I cannot retrieve it.) He reviewed the Claim letter and said, "they're just asking for your insurance." I replied, "yeah, but whatever damage occurred didn't happen while I had the van." He handed me a customer service card and stonewalled me. I called the number, 423-579-4269, only to receive a voicemail prompt from Ms. Lyssa Jacobs and her voicemail box was FULL. Fortunately, she provided an email address within her message. She responded to my email inquiry and was at least able to inform me of the "body damage" to the vehicle and provided some specifics there; however, she couldn't be of further assistance because she doesn't handle claims.I attempted to return Gerald's call at Alternative Claims Management, 210-526-0306. Only that he wasn't available. The gentleman said that he's doing a damage claims investigation and wants my insurance information. He forwarded me to Gerald's voicemail and I let him know that I was returning his call.I left requests for documentation, photographs, and the van's utilization log since 5/28. We'll see.Other than Lyssa Jacobs, no one has given me specific information. The customer service at the Hertz counter in the GSO-International airport was abysmal and indifferent. The damage claim originated from their site, yet no one could provide me with an incident report or actual claim. If you decline their coverage (as I did because I had trip insurance via another agency) use your smartphone to video RECORD all angles of the vehicle upon your return. I'd even advise you to inconvenience the attendant for a walk-around inspection of the vehicle, but this obviously doesn't matter.Protect yourself with time/date-stamped video evidence, and KEEP it for months thereafter.

From the fact that they forgot the adapter for the charger, to the enormous credit card hold, to the incompetence of customer support, this was a BAD experience. Because of the lack of adapter, the car only charges 30 miles every 12 hours! I explained that I traveled far from the airport and would only have enough charge to cover the miles to the Greensboro airport, not Raleigh. I spoke to 5 different people over 4 hours and only one of them were clear and honest with me.I apologized multiple times, never raised my voice, even though I felt like I was going insane. Finally I was given a case number and told to go to Greensboro and they would happily exchange my vehicle for a gasoline vehicle. Knowing it was a private franchise, I asked them to double check that it was okay with the Greensboro location. They said they spoke to a Sophie and it was fine. I drove over 100 miles just to be told by the man at the counter. Nah that's not true, NEXT. So I called back in tears (again) and explained the situation. The woman I spoke to didn't even have the decency to put me on hold, just being loud and giggling with whomever else was in the office with her. I BEGGED her to just be honest with me and tell me my options. She just transferred me to Roadside Assistance. Matthew was the only person who was honest and helpful. He gave me the location of a fast charging station. I am honestly defeated by this long arduous process of being placated, lied to, forced on other people. I work in customer support and I'd NEVER treat my clients like this. I have half a mind to contest the charges.I truly hope someone reaches out to me to make things right. I'll never use this service again and I hope no one else does either.

We rented a car which worked only 1 day. We spent the entire next day trying to call someone and finally had to go through emergency road side assistance. Brought the vehicle back. As it turns out, the people in the facility menrioned the phone didn't ring. Crazy because we called at least 3 hours!! No supervisor available to correct the situation. Needless to say, we had to use an Uber for our remainder 2 days.

ABSOLUTE the worse place to rent a car from. Went through the whole process, but because they had an issue with their system and then the rep tried to process the card and put the incorrect information for my home address it pushed the money back which has to sit for 72 hours and was left with no money on my card. The director was not helpful with the options my bank offered and they essentially told me that if I didn’t have another card with $300 I would not be able to rent the car. 600$ to rent a car because of their system!!!! DISGUSTING!

I don't recommend to rental from Thrifty Rental car because I rented car from Denver International airport, so when I paid my visa card, the process was declined two times, then I paid by my debit card nad it was accepted, when I returned a car to thrifty at Denver International Airport, I was surprised, money was withdrawn fom debit card ($600) and visa card ($449.26). When I call someone at Thrifty rental car, she did not solve problem. Be Careful, don't pay by two cards.

As many others have already said, if I could leave 0 stars, I would. They have terrible customer service and make it extremely difficult for you to get a rental. Before booking my rental, I was given a price of how much everything would cost; I paid the amount. When I went to pick it up they told me I owed more. When I asked why this wasn’t communicated when I booked the vehicle, the staff had no response. When trying to reserve a different rental one staff member canceled my reservation and told me I had to wait 7 business days to get my money back. Then, I was told they couldn’t allow me to get another rental until the funds they originally took were returned to me (in 7 business days). They are very unprofessional, not accommodating at all, and show no concern for customers. They took my money and I did not get a rental, I have to wait to get my money back, and no accommodations were made for the miscommunication on their behalf. Absolutely the worst car rental and customer service experience I’ve had, I DO NOT recommend.

If I could give a 0 rating then I would. With the in person customer service and their lack of knowledge of their own pricing and acronyms, to getting a call from a supervisor within 24 hours of my complaint (which was over a week ago) and I've heard nothing. Very disappointed in the staff and the management.
