AC has been broken almost two weeks and still hasn't been fixed. It's hot. Management and maintenance have been terrible communicators during this and I have to hunt them down to get an answer as to a status update. Still haven't called me back from Thursday. When we do hear from them we have been told multiple times it was getting fixed "today" or "tomorrow". Still nothing. Would not recommend living here.

Stay away from The Willow Apartments. They are mice infested but that is truly the least of their problems. At the center of all the issues is the owners, Willow Cypress LLC. They took over managment of the property in December 2023 after what has been alleged to me their prior managment compnay dropping them im assuming because of their terrible communication and lack of payment. Their mismanagement of the property has led the apartments to their drastic decline.Starting with the mice problem, which for me has resulted in 4 mice caught in traps that I personally provided in 7 calendar days (2/19/24-2/26/24). Before any were caught there were signs of them in my kitchen, in my bed, and on my desk. I have provided pictures of all of this. I attempted to remedy this problem using the only method I knew of but never got maintenance to help solve the problem. That is because the service they used prior to current management was no longer in use and tenants were never notified. I eventually got maintenance to come and set some traps and pest control was sent to my unit, but there is still a mouse problem. The problem with pests is also not helped by the lack of trash service. They make us pay for valet trash which is not consistent with pick up, but the larger problem is that the dumpsters have not been emptied in close to a month at time of writing. There is no reason outside of there being an issue with the owners not having a contract in place for trash services. There has been no trash pick up during the month of February and the dumpsters are overflowing. This indicates a lack of attention and care for the tenants and the grounds of the property.Another example of the owners not caring for the grounds of the property is the fact that a rotten tree fell on my unit and exploded because of how rotten it was. It did not cause damage to my unit, but the person who came out to remove the tree damaged the vinyl siding, which may cause problems to the unit below me. There are likely more trees that are just as rotten and need to come down before they cause problems. However, the owners are not put together enough to do anything. The owners do not have their ducks in a row to manage the complex. Both this one and the cypress. They have taken away our ability to pay online. We are only able to pay using certified methods like money orders and cashier's checks. At one point, we could pay using personal checks, but there were issues with them being able to process them, so it is an unreliable method. They also never contacted tenants letting them know of the issue. According to the person in the office when this happened, it was a last minute issue that they were made aware of the day before rent was due. I have attempted to get the contact information of the owners to air my grievances with them directly, but not even management has a good grasp on how to contact them. The office workers are as clueless as the tenants as to why the owners are so bad at their job as we are. They are not at fault for the issues here. They really only have the authority to call maintanence since that is the only way to get that at this time and take people on tours. This indicates an issue with the owners communicating with management and management communicating with tenants.I implore you to never consider living here. There are a lot of issues because of the owners and there is no indication that they will mitigate these them because they are clearly disorganized and in no position to be running an apartment complex.

Management is not good at all, communication is not good either. The parking situation is terrible, no lights on the sign so guests miss my turn every time, things just could be a lot better

I am giving my unbiased opinion as an over 3-year resident of The Willow. For starters I have noticed a lot of these reviews are more than likely coerced by the staff to leave positive feedback and The Willow Apartments, there is barely anything positive about it. For starters when I moved into this apartment, the apartment was a complete wreck, damaged counter tops, the wood floor in the living room/kitchen was not replaced (obviously the kid’s feet when they walked across it turned black), & a/c issues (which eventually the whole unit had to be replaced after having no air off an on for a year). Was told by management at the time to write down on the checklist at that time all the things that were not completed and that I would not be charged when I move which is unacceptable, an apartment should be move in ready when you tell a tenant it is ready. Another thing about this apartment complex is the huge water bugs/cockroaches that you must deal with. Edited 2/2/24 Also you have to deal with RATS see photos POSTED!!!! They charge a monthly fee for this service but do not even send anyone out unless you request it. Another “service” that they add on that you do not request which is expensive is valet trash service. Never use it, can take my own trash out and they will not let you remove it. Next let’s talk about rent prices. In 2000 for a one bedroom, it started out as $799 in now here we are in 2023 and we are over $1100, very money thirsty company and as far as amenities, nothing has changed except added cable and internet service which do not equate to a $300 increase. Yes, we went through a pandemic but that much of an increase and no updates to the apartments is ridiculous. Onto some positive feedback before I move onto the nitty gritty, the maintenance man Steve is very nice and gets the job done. Landscaping is ok however I do get annoyed having to constantly step over goose droppings in the parking lot, they could have someone wash the parking lot weekly. Sadly, that is about the only thing positive I have to say about The Willow. Management and handling issues is the elephant in the room that I want to address. The property manager over both The Willow and The Cypress, Chanel Helms, should not be manager at all. Extremely rude, condescending, confrontational, does not handle issues in a timely manner, lack of follow up, does not return phone calls as promised. This goes the same for the I think her title is regional manager Alden Breedlove. You can leave her messages and she will not return your call for months or may not return your call at all or may email you. Both ladies are totally unprofessional and do NOT know how to run a business. I have been dealing with the same issue for almost 2 years with 2 I’m going to call them 2 delinquents because that’s what they act like stomping across the floor at all times of day, 2am, 3am. Have called the police several times and even the police have said its horrible that your apartment leasing manager is not doing anything about this. Their answer basically we can move you, but you must pay all these fees out of pocket plus I have to pay movers. I have been the one that has been their the longest out of anyone in the units and that’s the way I get treated, geez thanks. So, in conclusion, would I recommend anyone to move there, NO. Run as fast as you can, they are all about MONEY that’s it, not about you, the customer and your needs…. As soon as I can afford the opportunity I am leaving and contacting and attorney. I hope this honest review saves anyone the headache to moving here, the negative reviews that have been left here are 100% true and factual and it goes for The Cypress Apartments as well.

Just moved in so far so good, the office staff is responsive, the maintenance workers are friend, upon moving in I've had issues that have been taken care of in a timely manner. As a contractor I can say this place was renovated well. Looking forward to my residency at the Willow.

September 2023:Black mold in bathroom, kitchen and throughout the apartment.Roaches coming through the air vents.Bathroom sink vanity cabinet rotten.Fixtures in bathroom are not secure.Cracked ceiling. Roaches come through.Noticeable water in the walls of the apartment, the wood swells and cracked the paint.Door peep hole is a hole with no glass. No screen on windows.Patio door does not open.Car care area vacuum is broken.Swimming pool is dirty.Rotten cupboards in the kitchen. The cupboards have a resurfaced doors and new hinges but the remainder of the cabinets are cracked, holes, black mold and leaves space for roaches to enter. The oven door does not full open because the new cupboard handle blocks the oven door.New dryer does not dry. Two cycles to dry clothes.UPDATE: After I posted the written review I walked into the office to file a maintenance order. The receptionist made a work order.(I am vexed at the disappointment management claimed in their response.) A maintenance man stopped by, took photos and stated he will return in the afternoon. I shared my concerns and stated the entire building needs fumigation for the roach problem, not pest control. I attached the photos for context. The management team is ALLOWED to fix ALL the problems. But, it won't happen one day.

I was very underwhelmed by the experience I had with this property, I toured a apartment on Monday, I was pleased with what I saw so I proceeded to apply for the apartment, when I met the leasing agent she quoted me $990.00, However when I started the application process the actual management company quoted me $1,064.00 (not including any additional fees). I called the leasing agent to verify the correct price and she stated that this was the actual price of the apartment, she stated their rent varies by the week based off of what others are charging…. I asked her if this would be the finial price and she reassured me it would be. I do $50 for an application fee and $150 for an administrative fee and $25 for a pet screening. The agent explained she would be sending me a welcome letter, however before doing that she notified me of a 3rd price change “after” I had already submitted the application based off the price I was quoted, the price of the apartment is now 1,120.00 (not including the other fees they gonna charge you anyways!!!). The excuse I was given was that the manager couldn't find the property listed at what I was quoted …. Ironically it still shows the price on my application AND THEY STILL ARE FALSE ADVERTISING IT AS $990.00 on their website. They offered NO apologies NO accommodations and when I tried calling all of a sudden their “phones are down” this was the most inconsiderate property I’ve ever dealt with. It’s very unfortunate because I liked the property, idk if they are just scamming ppl out of a application fee or if they just have poor communication but I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time!! You’ll get quoted 3 prices for the same unit!
