It was so thoughtful of Vince to take the time to schedule an appointment for me a month in advance. It was so nice to show up bright and early for my verbal and email confirmed appointment, only to find the branch closed that day. Great job maintaining those PNC standards! Keep up the good work!

Wonderful and very pleasant experience! This PNC bank has always been consistant - professional, friendly, and very welcoming! Vince was extremely helpful, beyond kind, patient and very knowledable! Thank you!

This bank is always a trash trying to do a simple payment and take 40 minutes inside and drive thru, they need to find a better way to wok. And the worse think is that is not ve long line. Trash trash .

The only thing they do well is make sure that my money is where it’s supposed to be. Aside from that, it’s terrible service that’s going to take up legitimately 20 minutes of your day, even though nobody is in line in front of you. The same people working the desk are the same people working all three lanes outside. There is absolutely no convenience for anything and the excuse is always thank you for your patience. We’re not being patient because we want to, you have our money so we don’t have a choice. Currently looking for a different bank.

Extremely slow service, rude workers. Took over 45 minutes in the drive thru to deposit a check and get some cash back with no line in front of me. There was at least 3 people working that branch. No one came to the window for at least 30 minutes prior to me start hitting the call button asking for service or my stuff back. The personal service at this branch has never been great since I moved to the area, but at this point, Im looking for a new bank. Apparently, there is no manager, but an acting manager who didn't even provide her name.

If You routinely have 15 minutes to kill, The PNC drive through is the place for you. Not only will they take up all of your time even though there's no one in line, but they'll get it wrong so you can go inside and visit with the staff there too.

Moved to GSO about five years ago, and was pleased to find a PNC branch on Battleground, near my home. I've been a PNC customer for more than 15 years, and do almost all my banking online now. But when I had need to do something in person, and was surprised to discover that that nearby branch had been closed. So I went to the downtown branch on N. Elm Street, and while there, learned that it too was closing soon. Today I need in person assistance, so I went to the branch on Green Valley Road (Friendly Center). At first I got into the Drive Thru lane, behind two cars, but after five minutes with neither moving, I moved my car and went inside. Here I was third in line, and there were three PNC employees. Not sure what the division of labor was, or who was dealing with the Drive Thru. Eventually I completed my cash deposit, and began wondering if it is indeed well past time for me to find another bank. Looking at the PNC website, they seem proud of the fact that they have an ATM inside the Harris Teeter on Lawndale! Woo hoo!

What terrible service. Just came in the bank and was greeted and told it would be just a few minutes to simply have large bills changed. Then the general manager comes out and says to the greeter, we need to lock the door and meet the customers outside and see what they need. REALLY!? Then she told me we won’t be able to help you today! We’re not doing anymore teller services today you have to come back tomorrow. And the sad part is a gentleman came in and was trying to get his rent money taken care of and was told he couldn’t. He told the guy he’s gonna have to tell his landlord his rent is going to be late. This is the worst PNC I’ve ever dealt with. It is not the first time that I’ve had to deal with the incompetence and unhelpful staff. If they’re not interested in taking care of the customers, they should just shut down. PNC you must remember it’s our money in the bank and not yours. If you can’t accommodate your customs we’ll have to take our business to a bank that will appreciate our business.

Drew Lofters as Branch Manager was lacking. Truly, he reflected negatively on the entire branch. The branch has not realized improvement with him no longer there. I have struggled with this bank for several years but must deal with them because our home office (based in Charlotte) is tied to PNC. This past Friday did it for me. Two lanes were open in the drive through - two vehicles in the first, one in the second. I got in the second lane, now two cars each in both lanes. Although both lanes moved at a snail's pace (not out of the ordinary), the inside lane was able to move twice as many cars than the lane I was in. Note, it was never a matter of I could just swap lanes, and I didn't see the need to, as I was the next car up. However, as time passed (approximately 10-15 minutes), it became obvious that my lane wasn't going anywhere. When I finally made it up to the window, I proceeded to wait an additional 15 minutes. During this time, I was not acknowledged, and the inside lane moved two more cars (now 4 cars through that lane, to the 1 in the lane I chose). While I was waiting, unacknowledged, a teller was visible on the screen in lane #1. This was NOT the teller who eventually ended up helping me. So, it is now 5:20, I've been sitting in this line for at least 40 minutes, and I need to pick my daughter up from ball practice in 10 minutes. I push the Call button. Nothing. Again, push the Call button. Nothing. Rinse and repeat. I am sitting there, have been sitting there, and so has a car behind me. I can't tell you how long we sat there - at this point, with NO CARS IN THE FIRST LANE. Trying to get somebody to help me (us, considering the car behind me), I called the branch. Nothing. Dead silence. So, at this point, I push the Call button like a mad woman. Suddenly a face appears, mind you NOT the face I saw on the teller screen for the vehicles that went through the inside lane. I was not greeted with a "hi", "hello", or "screw you". Nothing. It was, "we're doing your deposit now". I was curt with the teller and told her I had been waiting in line for upwards of 40 minutes, all the while I watched the other lane manage to cycle some vehicles through. Her response was that another teller was on the inside lane. Humf, okay. That totally explains it. During this transaction, the teller did not smile, offer any pleasantries or explanation as to why it took 40+ minutes to provide service to me. I did get an "I'm sorry". While the teller finally handled my deposit, I had placed a second call to the branch and was sitting on hold, still in dead silence. After 9 minutes, someone picked up. She identified herself as Chentel Carlton, the Assistant Branch Manager. When I asked for the Branch Manager, I was told she was not there. I asked the name, which is Tahera Khatun. I explained the situation to Chentel and I was told Ebony Hamile, was the only teller. She was working the drive and the inside customers. Chentel also said the male teller was leaving. Forgive, I do not recall his name and he is the branch's saving grace, but his name escapes me. Anyhow, the Branch Manager is not there. A second teller (the fella) is leaving. Ebony is running both inside and outside, but none of those were the teller I saw on the screen for the cars that went through the inside lane. I ask Chentel about this. She tells me its only Ebony. So now, here I sit/sat, dealing with PNC Friendly branches ineptitude and now I am being lied to. If I didn't HAVE to deal with PNC or this branch, I most certainly would avoid like the plague. Disgusting display of customer service. If ever a ZERO-star option was a choice, this would be it.

I opt in to overdraft I deposit enough money to pay my rent, they tells me that they don’t have a limit on overdraft, when I go to another bank to pay my rent for the remaining balance they keep declining my card, but they also told me to deposit enough money so the overdraft will go though and they still keep declining, so I will go to another bank cause they stuck at things like this, if I get direct deposits either way the money and the fee they charge will be taken out my account or check

***CUSTOMER BE AWARE***I have been a customer at this location for the past 3 years. Last night I deposited a check via the ATM at this location. This is a process that I have used regularly in the past. Once deposited, I verified the transaction through my online account access. Today I received an email that the deposit was reversed. I called my PNC branch on Greenvalley Road to question the reversal. I spoke with Ashley who stated that the name on the check did not match the name on the account. She verified both the first and last name were the same on the check and the account. Ashley stated that she would call me back after she reached out to the "back office" to get more detail as she was also confused by the reversal. As promised, Ashley called back and said that the check included my middle name and that was the reason for the reversal. I was told that there is a 10 day process that needed to be completed. I would receive a copy of the original check in the mail. Once I had the copy I could come into the bank and deposit the check. Note: the check in question is from a business and not a personal check. I offered several solutions...I could come in with my ID and other documentation (passport, social security card) to prove my identity. I offered to bring the documents from the sale of my car (the check in question was the proceeds from the sale). I was told that there is no way to credit my account and that I needed to wait the 10 days for PNC to process the return of the check. Ashley stated that she raised the concern several levels above her but no one could help. My only recourse is to contact the company that bought my car and ask them for a new check which I would need to come into the PNC branch and deposit...with the same name as the original. This is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered!!!Note: Ashley tried to resolve the problem. The issue is not with her but with the lack of concern, compassion, and empathy for the customer.

I never imagined I would leave a review for a bank, but everyone is so pleasant and helpful at the PNC at Friendly Center I feel compelled to do so. It’s the little things in life that can brighten your day, and everyone at this branch is always so nice that it has that effect.
