First time using Petco for grooming. We took our little dog in to get groomed. It was not a pleasant experience at all. I try to be very understanding so maybe the ladies working where just having a little off morning. You only have to be rude to me one time. So we will never go back for grooming again.

My recent visit to the Petco on Wendover was a journey of contrasts, wrapped in the clean, well-organized aisles of a store that takes pride in its presentation. From the moment I stepped in, the cleanliness and layout struck me as not just appealing but thoughtfully designed, making the chore of shopping for dog food less of a chore and more of an exploration. The array of dog food options was impressive, showcasing a variety that catered to every conceivable preference and dietary need. Among the shelves brimming with familiar brands, a new contender caught my eye, sparking curiosity about its origin and whether it was a Petco exclusive. This curiosity led me to seek assistance from a Petco employee, who was making his way to the back of the store. With a gentle approach, I inquired about the new brand, only to be met with a response so jarringly rude it could only be described as a shock to the system. The gentleman, identifiable by his bandana and glasses, sharply rebuked me with a disdain that seemed wholly unwarranted, citing his break time as if it were obvious to all. This abrupt encounter left me reeling, questioning the interaction and my place in it, as I hastened away to avoid escalating an already uncomfortable situation. The redeeming grace of my visit came at the front register, where a different face of Petco emerged. This employee was the epitome of customer service, greeting me with warmth, addressing my query about the dog food brand, and extending a sincere apology for her coworker's behavior. Her assurance that such rudeness was far from the Petco standard offered a comforting end to an otherwise disheartening experience. In reflection, the visit was a study in contrasts: the environment and product selection were beyond reproach, yet a single interaction cast a shadow over the proceedings. While one employee embodied the professionalism and kindness one hopes for in retail, another served as a stark reminder that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Future visitors to Petco on Wendover might do well to relish the store's offerings while remaining cautious of the variable nature of its customer service.

Where do I begin? I had a 3:30 appointment for my Alaskan Malamute and arrived ON TIME. I was immediately met with excuses as to why my dog couldn't be groomed. The first was because I booked my dog under the wrong name. I changed my dog's name from Alice (which was given to her at the shelter) to Sascha. I wa told we had to rename her and reschedule. "It's a Corporate rule..." So, I called Corporate. Not true. So, then I was told I had to reschedule because it was after 3:30, even though I was there before 3:30. Finally, the REAL reason came out. The groomer, "Lazy Lilly" stated, I get off at 5 and it takes over 2 hours to do a husky. Now mind you, I had a 3:30 appointment. So I asked for a manager. In comes KKKatrina. Who tells me it's a "system" error that the appointment booked. Even though I got text confirmations for 3:30, for my HUSKY. KKKatrina says, "I can't make her stay past 5." So you're punishing the customer for YOUR mismanagement and poor scheduling. Horrible, horrible experience on all levels. Oh and during this whole exchange, I was on the phone with Corporate listening to the whole thing. Lazy Lilly and KKKatrina need to go! Don't patronize this craphole.

They're not very friendly here. Many items, I couldn't find what I was looking for and no one offered to help, no one even greeted me actually ??♀️

I love this place. I trust them so much with my 3 babies. The grooming staff is excellent and very friendly. They are professional and patient with my babies as they hate going to the groomers. Never been unhappy with them. Petco itself is very clean and the staff very friendly. Great place ❤️

It was ok. Selection better at PetSmart. The staff is nice. Paying $.10 for bags is stupid.

If you own anything other than a dog or cat. This is not the place to go. Everything is over priced and their workers seem to know nothing other than it's not my department. I don't know who can answer that. This rings especially true if you own a reptile. Don't even waste your time if it's not concerning a cat or dog.

Many years ago, we bought four containers of clumping litter, and we have returned for refills on a regular basis. The price is great, and we aren't sending litter packaging to recycling or the landfill. Petco is the only pet supplier that we have found to offer this wonderful service!

This petco is completely unprofessional. I scheduled an appointment to see the vet showed up 15mins early and had to wait in line for 30mins which i get it there’s other animals they still have to take care of what I do not understand is that when it’s finally my turn to see the vet the decide to cancel my appointment. Their explanation was the vet has somewhere to go. Why would you wait until I get to the front of the line to cancel my appointment and not just tell me when I walked through the door.
