This place is very unique when it comes to buying and selling, but some of the prices are not bargains whatsoever. They are the same as a retail store, which kind of defeats the purpose. An example there was a Nintendo switch game on the shelf that is listed $10 above the brand new retail price for some reason. Overall, a refreshing shopping experience rather than going to a Walmart or something.

Wow! The prices are amazing. They have a little bit of everything from books to toys to puzzles to stuffed animals to games and all kinds of more stuff. I love it. I recommend it 100%. My daughter loved it. We're definitely going back. I got a great amount of books and it wasn't that pricey. I was shocked. I thought it was going to be more. And the workers there are very friendly.

Lots of used LPs, books, games, etc. in good condition at a great price. They even have a good selection of used musical instruments: basses, guitars, brass, and woodwinds.

This is my favorite store. You never know what you'll find! I'm a video game collector, and I'm USUALLY finding good deals here!And I'm always selling here as well. USUALLY you get a good bit of $ for bringing some junk in.

Edmkay: A Stunning Store With Service That Needs WorkI recently visited the new Edmkay location, and while the store itself is truly impressive, the customer service left me feeling disappointed. I was attempting to ask for assistance on a phone that was labeled without a carrier on it. The other phones in the case stated the carrier but this one was not. I attempted to ask for assistance, but the response was that it was likely unlocked for all carriers. I asked if the staff could power it on and see what bootup logo and carrier shows. The response I received was that the phone was dead and they will not charge it to check. I was told that I can purchase the phone and return the phone if it was the wrong carrier. This was horrible customer service for a very simple request to charge the device. I did end up taking the gamble and purchasing the device. It turns out the phone did have 20 percent charge and the staff refused to even attempt to turn on the device. At the end of the day. Don't buy their electronics if you aren't willing to gamble. There attitude is basically " you can return it if it does not work".

Went in on a whim, ended up spending 6 hours there ... Don't go there unless you have time to kill, for a nerd, this place is heaven, a trap! It will suck your wallet dry ?? still goes there every weekend though ... I think I need a 2nd job to supply my addiction, wonder if they hiring ?

Wow, and I thought the one in Knoxville was nice. This is the cleanest, most organized shop of this kind that I have ever had the pleasure of perusing. They took a fair amount of items and gave me a great trade price but I needed cash and they actually offered me way more cash than I anticipated. I will definitely be a regular customer when I move from Tennessee to North Carolina and look forward to checking out the Winston-Salem location as well. Can't go wrong with McKay's.

Congratulations to McKays new location with a beautiful new store. Lots of space, well organized. A large area to sell and an equally large area to buy. This is a great business for books, CDs, albums, toys, collectibles, music instruments, camera accessories and more. The prices vary depending on the item. You will find excellent deals and higher prices depending on the collectible value of the purchase.
