This was the worst experience I ever had at a location. The team is unprofessional and non caring. Don't expect to be treated with any dignity. They was closed and I was standing outside for 30 minutes while they was assistance other customer. Google and all other website stated closed at 6pm no drop off box. I came 1 minute after closed they stay open other day for those of difference color but treated me like a subhuman.

This is the worst car rental location on earth. Do not bother. They will never have any SUVs available. They also change the price at pickup. RUN!

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!
We got a rental here because our car had been hit in an accident. During our rental, our car broke down on the side of the highway on our way out of town for a long weekend get away. Fully packed car with an 11month old and a 7 month pregnant woman...Luckily it only went into limp mode and we still had AC as it was 90+ out that day.
Hertz roadside assistance said they could send a Lyft to get us back to the location to get a new rental but since we were on the side of an onramp Lyft wouldn't be able to come get us. It was expected we would call an uber or friend to take us to a location that Hertz could then call an Lyft to...how does that make sense? Hertz was really about to leave a family with an 11month old and pregnant woman on the side of the road without offering anything more than Lyft that couldn't even come get us. Do better Hertz that's very poor customer service.
Luckily we were close enough a friend could come get one of us, our kid and all our stuff...Since the car was in my wife's name she stayed with it and the tow truck driver was able to drop her off somewhere I was then able to get her after getting another car (not from hertz). The Hertz car was due back on Sunday and this was a Thursday so we just decided to be done and let that be the return and we were told everything was taken care of...
Communication within Hertz is an absolute dumpster fire because my wife got multiple automated phone calls and messages about the car still being out two week after the car had been towed. Finally today, the issue was resolved by connecting with someone in a department at corporate (thank you whoever you are). However, multiple calls were made to this location and my Wife even came up to try and get it all resolved over the past two weeks because the car broke down and got towed and we didn't have it anymore. Manager was on vacation when my wife went up and no one else was able to help. She also called after and actually getting connected to the manager said they would call back as they were busy at the moment. No call back ever came. Location is is poorly run and no one there seems to have a handle on much. Shame on this location for what we had to go through. Never again will we rent from a Hertz location.

If you're the owner and just copying and pasting responses to poor reviews, that's not a good representation of strong leadership. Leaving a family on the side of a highway without offering alternatives to try and help them is just plain negligence. I truly hope something changes at this location because clearly, based on the reviews there is a problem with the way it is run and how customers are serviced.

My experience at this Hertz location is the worst customer service experience I have ever had, so much so that my safety was put in jeopardy. I did my best to be patient & reason with the staff and management based on the conditions I received the rental in, dented, unwashed, with stains on the seat as well as a tire pressure signal that I later found out was the result of a damaged tire that ended up needing to be replaced altogether.
From the initial pick up of the car rental with the employee Zaimaya who fits the behavior & description of the "rude lightskined girl with glasses" mentioned in several other reviews is the same person who assisted in helping the manager Janay Ashworth in taking the before pictures of the rental at an angle from the front and back of the car that hid the dent on the passenger door of a white car.
Unbeknownst to me & fast forward to the return date of the rental 5 weeks later with a newer and more unethical employee, Zaneta Boyd threatened to fight me over requesting to decline to provide my license for a damage claim due to the fact that the damage (the same dent on the passenger side) was already on the vehicle at the time of pick up. She didn't care to try to understand my perspective she just became very upset very fast.. It was very strange behavior and outside of the fact that Zaneta Boyd is more than 10 years older than me she repeatedly yelled out how she didn't need her job at Hertz and how she would clock out to fight me... she kept going to the point where she wanted to fight outside the store while still on the clock.. as unnecessary, vulgar, unprofessional, and dangerous Ms. Boyd's behavior was, she was willing to risk it all just because she was annoyed about me wanting to ensure not being tied to the claims process in relation to the damage on the car. It wasn't until the police came that she mentioned how she had several children.. these are the same children that she didn't consider moments prior when she was willing to lose her job to fight me.. Corporate has yet to respond to my emails requesting them to release the store video and audio related to this matter within a timely fashion since most store security footage will tape over each other, meaning the evidence will expire soon after being recorded. Had it not been for a PHD A&T graduate to step in to attempt to talk sense into this foolishness this situation very well could have ended violently and with everything I have to lose I do NOT take situations like this lightly at all.

I rented an Uber from here the day I rented there was 4 people working this included the manager when I arrived the 2 ladies there said I had to wait for the manager to help me because they didn't have any cars available I had to drive 2.5 hours to get there, she was out of the unit. She arrived 20 minutes later, the young lady at the desk near the office didn't let her know I was there after sitting there for 5 minutes I asked her was she going to let her know I was there. She then told her I was there. The manager gave me keys to a 2021 Volkswagen pasat, the rear door behind the driver dosen't open, change engine oil comes on when you crank it up and the tire pressure light dosen't go off, along with all the stains on the seats. After I had it for 2 weeks the front window cracked I went all the way back up there after it cracked but I was informed they couldn't fix it that day it could take a week to 7 days I had to take it back with be because the didn't have any cars for a swap out, this is a 5 hour drive round trip. On Monday of this week uber turned off my option to do trips because they needed an inspection for the car I've spoken with uber through chat several times and hertz live they keep sending me back to the Greensboro unit who has not made a true effort to help me. I asked the manager to call the Mathew unit to see if they could swap out and she started I need to call.

Carter's customer service is absolutely phenomenal, there's no other staff member I'd rather have handle my rental. Definitely coming back to this Hertz.

Hands downs the best rental experience I've had in a long time. I called first thing to confirm my reservation a very nice lady answered and confirmed the type of car I would be receiving and time of pickup also stating that I could even come early. That call ended great I felt ensured that everything would be fine. I arrived at the location later than expected and was told not to worry, they were finishing up on a few loose ends and would have me ready to go shortly. The lady (sorry I'm horrible with name) that help me with my rental is a godsend. On top of helping me she finished two other rental agreements help two customers on the phone obviously overwhelmed with work never broke a sweat nor did she stop being polite. Even when she wasn't working with me directly, she still stopped to inform me of her progress on my agreement. I don't know what they are paying her but it's not enough she deserves a raise. She got me on my way with the exact car I asked for, clean and full of gas, within 20 minutes. And that was with complications. I imagine that with a regular rental 8 minutes tops 10 out of 10. I would recommend this location it's great !!!

Car rental experience details will not be shared due to the amazing customer service recovery by Janay. She hands down was amazing, went above and beyond to help us.
Only recommendation I have is for the staff onsite to communicate with each other so customers are not turned away without a vehicle. Communication is key!

Now I understand why it's a low rating hertz. I made a reservation around 12pm and arrived at 4 and asked about the car, they said they didn't have enough cars to accommodate for that day and told me to make a reservation for the next day. It was not a mandatory trip for me so that's fine but what if I was in an emergency or heavy scheduled trip? Worst service, atleast they should've called before and told me about that.

This was my experience: They gave me the dirty car, I have photos of themselves, the day I return the vehicle they sent me to vacuum the carpet. Because if not they are going to charge me 30 dollars. then they have no one to return me to my destination. Let me take their car, they tell me, that they will pick it up the next day, the next day they charge it to my card. Their service doesn't work, it's terrible!
The manager is friendly. the light skinned African American employee is not. She treated me like I owed her something.. terrible service, I hope to see my 50 dollars back!

The manager is very nice she will go beyond to accommodate you ,but the employe she is black light skin with glasses she need to do her job , she always have an attitude anytime I walked in if she is at the front desk ,I just want to walk out . Because of her if I can give a zero I will.

Black lady with the glasses is very disrespectful and don’t really respect people time. Whether you call and make a reservation or maybe you have some questions about the reservation you’ve already made. She will do everything in her power NOT to do her job nor accommodate with any of the customers at that give moment. Come here at your own risk….

These people will literally waste your time. I have a reservation to pick up a car that was supposed to be available. I literally drove hours to be here and they have just wasted my time and money because there is actually no car available at all and they have no idea when a car will be available.. I’m annoyed this is very unprofessional. The only option they give is to wait around for a car to maybe or maybe not be retire but no guarantee because it’s first come first serve.. yikes. Bad for business.
