Staff on site is great and helpful but the exclusive internet with WireStar is the worst experience. If they continue to have an exclusive deal with WireStar I will be looking at other living options in the area. If you work from home stay away from their properties! You will not have access to your own equipment, no ability to reset your router, and your devices will randomly disconnect and connect to access points 3 floors away from you. Again, if you work from home stay away!!

(0 stars) At the first signs of black mold in your home, you are likely to feel stress, anxiety, and concern for those who live and work in the space.
But how do you know if there is mold in your home? Your first indication that there is a mold issue in your home is when you begin to smell it.
Black mold tends to have a strong, musty smell.
My (childhood cancer) fighting sweet daughter and I just had the worst 4 1/2 months of trying to just live there. What a very sad situation going on there, Hawthorne Properties should be so ashamed of what they have going on there, clearly it’s not something that they are not aware of (confirmed at apartment 807) we were in 810. The best way to feel better if you have black mold symptoms is to get out of the moldy environment and avoid any continued exposure so we made the unfortunate decision to terminate our lease. We will continue to keep the current residents and future residents in our prayers that they don’t have to experience the discomfort and suffering we experience in our very short time at High River a Hawthorne Property

Hawthorne Residential is the best at what they do. They help property manage and own 100s of properties nationwide and rank very high in customer satisfaction. Their marketing team, community managers, and on-site teams are attentive and so helpful.
This location also has ♿ handicap accessible ?️ parking, ? restrooms, and elevators.

Stay far away from this leasing company. I have had nothing but problems since dealing with them. I have now moved out my apartment going on about 3 months and still haven’t received my security deposit back. I have contacted this company and emailed them numerous times and still have yet to receive a call or even an email. I leave a voice mail almost once a day and I’m to my last option of having to hire a lawyer just to get ahold of my money. This is crazy and very unprofessional. Anything with their name written on it in the future is a red flag for me.
UPDATE!!!
AFTER TRYING TO CONTACT THIS COMPANY ON FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, THEIR WEBSITE VIA CONTACT FORM AND VOICEMAIL I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN A REPLY! ITS REALLY FUNNY THAT YOU EVEN REPLY WITH THIS AUTOMATIC MESSAGE BECAUSE ITS NOTHING BUT BS! I HAVE BEEN BLOCKED FROM THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE AND INSTAGRAM PAGE BECAUSE I AM REACHING OUT ABOUT MY MONEY! CRAZY ISNT IT!

Hawthorne has done a terrible job answering to customer service requests, which honestly shouldn’t surprise me because they ignore customers and their problems to begin with. Clownshow.
EDIT : After the “owner” fraudulently replied that I will have the opportunity to speak with them if I call their number or fill out a form it’s important for other residents/potential customers to understand that I have called several times leaving messages as well as sent in several requests forms. This is nothing more than their attempts to gaslight people into thinking they actually care and do their job. I’ve provided my contact information to your company several times, if you’re the owner step up and do the job your employees have failed to do. I await your call.

I live at a Hawthorne-owned property in South Carolina and I am truly disappointed in this business. They only want to make as much money as they can and tack on tons of fees, without giving you proper amenities and benefits.
The only Live-It Difference I see is how poorly managed these properties are.

I have been renting at the Meridian at Harrison Pointe Apartments for over 3 years now. This investment firm owns that property. Since then, my rent went up by $500 (31%) over 3 of those years without any meaningful improvements to the community. Additionally with construction on the apartment balconies for most of the time since they get the cheapest contractors they can find.
Their most recent business decision was to remove the choice between ATT and Spectrum and force everybody to sign up for Spectrum's inferior service. My upload speed is getting cut by 96%, reliability will be down, and will impact my work. I'm lucky to have an employer that is understanding until my lease is up. They do not have their residents in mind. They just look at their bottom dollar.

This place has kept my security deposit for over 3 months with no one returning my calls or emails. This place is a scam. They would delete comments before providing you with information to obtain your money. Place is a scam and is being bought out. They are selling properties and not returning deposits.

My girlfriend has lived in these apartments (South Haven Apartments) for over a year, prior it was owned by a local company in Greenville NC, when she had problems before the buyout they always had issues resolved within a timely manner, however since Hawthorne Residential Partners has bought the properties it has been a nightmare. The CURRENT situation is she has been without apartment wide AC for the last 11 days, all of which 9 of those days have been heat advisories. She put in a ticket on the first night she realized, I also called the emergency maintenance number provided. We received a call at 0400 the following morning, stating “it’s not an emergency, we will get to it tomorrow morning”. Fast forward to the middle/end of the day, that’s when they came to check, mind you the apartment was 84 degrees by this point, which according to the rental agreement is an emergency. They stated “it’s a hole in the outside component, and they didn’t know where it was, so it’s gonna be a day or two”, they also said they had 2 more people ahead of us for the exact same issue. They did provide a stand alone AC unit, that I moved from the living room, where it only dropped the apartment to the high 70’s, we ended up sleeping in the living room (her on the couch, me on the floor) so we could have some form of AC, mind you I’m a disabled veteran who had complete shoulder repair earlier this year and nerve damage throughout my body, that night I didn’t sleep. I ended up moving the AC unit into the bedroom, as to allow us to be able to sleep. Fast forward a few days, and I ask her how the ticket is going within the system, she goes and checks it and it had been canceled by someone in the office. She reopened the ticket as well as went down there and spoke with them, I wasn’t involved in that conversation so I won’t speak on that. Fast forward to yesterday (day 10 without AC) she goes back down to the office (it is in one of the apartments below her) and addresses it again with the office, she also expressed concerns about my health and hers as well due to the heat advisory. They did have a maintenance team member come at around 1830 to check everything, he instructed us to cover the bay windows and move the AC unit into the living room again as it will help (mind you it struggles to cool the bedroom on days like today, it’s 107 degrees, picture included). Not only is it not cooling, it’s running 24/7 because it’s unable to cool this apartment, her electricity bill has doubled in the time since having it. I do want to say the maintenance people are amazing, however the office/corporate side is the worst I’ve experienced and that includes military housing maintenance.
I know a lot of military/veterans move to Greenville NC after getting out for various reason, I would stay clear of this company and all their properties until they figure out their priorities.

I have been extremely disappointed with the property/corporate management at Pavilion at Plantation Way. We loved living in this complex prior to Hawthorne taking over in Feb. 2024.
For nine days, our air conditioning was out, and management failed to provide a portable unit during several heat index warnings. Throughout this period, we received conflicting information from different members of the management team, adding to our frustration. Apparently, the entire maintenance team quit around the same time.
The staffing situation here is clearly inadequate, as evidenced by the fact that the pool has remained closed. Despite finally passing city inspection July 3rd, the property manager has stated she is "too overwhelmed to open and deal with the pool." This is particularly frustrating as we pay a monthly amenity fee for facilities that we cannot access, including the gym (after business hours) and the pool. It would be nice to use what we pay for.
These things mentioned above significantly detracts from the overall living experience.

I have been living in a Hawthorne property for 6 yrs now and this new property manager is ridiculous. The pool that we are paying for has not been open at all yet. It is 100° degrees and we have not been able to use the pool. She's been here about a month and has already taken days off. Not doing anything about the pool and she is not a nice person to deal with. I've never had to "make an appointment" to see management. Not doing her job. She needs to go!
