I usually have positive experiences at this pharmacy as they’re always so quick. However, I’m having an issue with getting a prescription transferred. I went to pick up a prescription not knowing that Harris Teeter doesn’t accept my new insurance and was then told to give another pharmacy a call to get it transferred. This was confusing to me as I always thought the pharmacists were the ones who are supposed to communicate about prescription transfers, not the patient. I gave Walgreens a call and the number for this pharmacy and they said my prescription would be ready the next day. Well, it’s the next day and I just went to Walgreens and they didn’t have anything in their system for me. When I called Harris Teeter about it they said “we’ll transfer that for you now” which means either Walgreens failed to call them or they just didn’t transfer it when they were asked in the first place. I ended up waiting for nearly an hour at Walgreens and they still didn’t see anything in their system even though the person on the phone told me it would “take a few minutes.” This could have all been avoided if the pharmacist at Harris Teeter had just called Walgreens directly instead of telling me to do it. I now have to wait another 1-2 days for my birth control.

(specifically this review is for the pharmacy) In a world where care providers are becoming harder and harder to communicate with, deferring the notion of customer service to apps and bots, I can count on Harris Teeter when I need talk to an actual person!! Thanks HT Pharmacy!

Not very happy with the lack of customer service I received at the store tonight. Patty scanned my groceries did not speak and did not say anything when I left other than my total and push my stuff around. On the other hand the young gentleman beside her was very courteous to his customers spoke to them hi hello and have a nice day thank you for shopping. I did however notice she didn't have a problem carry on the conversation with the lady in front of me. I know next time to skip her line.

This is my favorite grocery store hands down everyone's super friendly and helpful, was in the store yesterday and had a minimum of 5 employees greet me, the lady that works the fresh bread knows the entire store you can ask her where something is and she'll take you right to it, super helpful.. I wish I knew her name I'm gonna find out next time she's working, she's fantastic :)

Is it safe to have open food bars during Covid?. Things are not the same. Most stores have items in containers or refrigerators like Whole Foods and Fresh Market. I am not going to buy from the olive bar or the self serve food bar haunt second thoughts about shopping here

When I am in a hurry and need some basics, Food Lion works for me just fine. But when I'm wanting something of quality and more variety without spending an arm and a leg I usually head to Harris Teeter at Friendly Shopping Center. It's been called "Taj Mateeter" by many, and my mother, may she rest in peace, who loved to give everything a Jewish name, called it "Herschel Teeter". I love walking into that store. Wonderful salad bar, pizza stand, sushi, flowers, and rows and rows of an incredible variety of food. I'm usually working on my diet, so I like going there to find all of the low fat and healthy substitutes that are very difficult to find in the lower grade chains. The parking there is quite ample and they do a good job of keeping everybody COVID safe as much as possible. They have a beautiful variety of produce and their meats are very appetizing. Some of my favorite things to buy are their sweet Italian chicken sausage and always on sale are their chicken breasts at a $1.99 a pound. You cannot beat that price anywhere! They have a wonderful discount program called VIC, and most of the time I always opt for the VIC special which is considerably less than the normal price. Sometimes you can even get great deals like buy two Diet Cokes at the regular price and get three bottles for free. I really like that! I decided recently to break out of my box and walked into Whole Foods to check it out and consider it as an alternative to HT. Well, I almost passed out when I saw the prices. Maybe I was delusional but I could have sworn I saw some kind of mushroom for sale for like $25 a pound. What are they, magic mushrooms or something? LOL I quickly made a beeline exit and headed right over to my favorite Harris Teeter They also have a real nice floral section. I cannot tell you how many times I bought a bunch of flowers on sale, regrouped them and presented a beautiful bouquet to somebody for under $20. I also love their $4.99 roast chicken for sale on the weekends and also enjoy their rib baby back special as well. As you can see I'm a big fan. So next time, if you are needing more than what Food Lion has to offer and don't want to take out a mortgage to buy a pound of mushrooms, Harris Teeter is the place for you. The only thing I don't like about Harris Teeter at Friendly is I can always rest assured when I'm looking my absolute worst and in my dirty jogging pants with unbrushed hair and unshaven face I'm going to run into everybody I know.

If you love fried chicken and don't feeling like standing up to fry or getting popped by grease, then you have to try the double dipped fried chicken from Harris Teeter! I've told everyone I know about this. I've been eating it at least two Fridays out the month for at least 2 years. It's fried PERFECTLY!! You get two breasts, two thighs, a drumstick, and a wing. Parts and portions may vary but OH MY GOSH! Pair with your favorite side and you have a delicious quick and affordable meal. Regular $6.99 but sometimes they have $4.99..especially on Fridays. I daughter loves it. Great for college students too!

This HR pharmacy department is the worst. I was waiting for my mastitis antibiotic medicine over a week. I called them daily basis and their answer always been "it will be ready this afternoon" but they NEVER actually checked their inventory or never informed when I can actually expect my prescription. Finally, my doctor sent my transcription to Walgreen a week after suffering from pain and fever. We just couldn't trust them that they will have THIS AFTERNOON. I went to get my baby's eczema on 1/2/2021their answer was it will be ready this afternoon again. I went back on Sunday the young woman pharmacist said "well you don't have the updated insurance card and its out of stock." I responded to her I wont update my information if she wont have my prescription there is no need for that or it doesn't matter if I have insurance or not I need the medicine for my newborn baby. She kept saying we need new insurance information I finally pipped up I will wait till this afternoon and update my insurance card if you are 100% sure you will have the cream" she didn't say anything and walked away. I had to repeat myself she said "I'm checking now it wont be ready till Wednesday" I said "Are you 100% certain that it will be ready by Wednesday" she said I'm not sure." I cant believe how irresponsible and unprofessional they are. their pharmacists should take their job more serious they are in medical field that people need their attention and assistant. not demand insurance card or misinform the eta on medicine. We needed those medicine and didn't seem like they care if we are sufferings from pain and fever.

Pharmacy' is great and the workers are too. Great selections but not all encompassing .I think this is the biggest HT store and also a head store which has a Starbucks ,deli ,pizza, buffet takeout in this time of covid 19. Hours have been reduced and things have been changed for COVID 19.call for info about seniors perks, etc., and drive up grocery services

I think you would be much better off knowing this before you shop at Harris teeter don't buy your alcohol there South lies that it's a state law that they can't take back alcohol if you get a bad bottle are rude about it also I worked in the industry for 35 years plus and I know that purveyors will take back bad alcohol they wouldn't offer me a refund the woman actually followed me into the parking lot to tell me she wasn't going to give me a refund after she told me I needed to have the bottle which I had in the car very dissatisfied tree Total wine will take alcohol back if it's bad I suggest you shop there from here on out and try not to interact with the management staff
