The Food Lion on Hicone Rd. rarely has the sale items that are advertised. I always attempt to purchase the frozen sweet corn 12 in a pack when it's on sale. The guy who stocks always say he's still unloading the boxes. I guess they need to hire more staff to unload those items when the truck comes in.

I visit this location pretty often but knowing I post reviews I've tried to avoid making a negative post. It's one customer service manager or cashier not quite sure it's an older woman who is very rude. I've heard complaints from several customers, I hope it's not about race but Ive definitely heard as well as experienced racial profiling at the self checkout. I definitely know her name but will not post it because like I said I've tried to avoid posting this but my wife came from the location and was very upset. AGAIN to anyone working in customer service ( self checkouts). It's not the customer's fault that retail is doing away with cashiers and that doesn't mean you can look at particular customers as if they are stealing merchandise, if you feel that's happening you can clearly go over and scan the customers products for them as well. Just a little fyi.. I know how demanding a job can be. Again one bad apple can spoil the bunch so to the ones who are working hard keep up the good work you are greatly appreciated!!

So much prefer food Lion to Walmart. Unless I need lots of different items it's so much quicker to go to Food Lion to grab milk or just a couple items, rather than running from one end of the store to the another at Walmart

I love their self checkout and most of the time they have everything I need and the store always smells great because of their hot bar with fresh wings and mozzy sticks

I wish they would get rid of the self checkouts. I put coupon in the slot that was flashing, oops, wrong slot. So of course I got an attitude from them for it... they have good food and prices are comparably good. But getting rid of cashiers is not good.
