Let me start off with Thanking the General Manager for selecting such a wonderful and priority mannered Store Manager Ms.Tammy
As a single parent there are times and days that I had to come to this location and bring my children with me having to shop with sticking to my grocery list. Ms.Tammy and her Assistant manager Natshawn kind young man
Help assist me with the things I need as well as keep the kids entertained on top of doing there job.
I can honestly say that it makes my trip there more smoother and I am able to get everything on my list as well as grab extra. I went from shopping there 2x a month to 2x a week. Well money spent ?. So thank you from myself and my family to family Dollar and the staff on high point Rd and for keeping it safe and Clean at all times at this location.????

Store manager Tammy was very disrespectful. She made a whole scene at the store using bad language and being rude at the mouth saying anything to get under my skin. I was at checkout and she even said I’m not checking you out you can wait I proceeded to the next staff. I definitely filed a complaint in regards of her mouth, I asked her several times to stop being rude and to just leave me be. This store is ridiculous

Family Dollar has always been one of my favorite shopping places the one on Gate City is convenient and recently the store has gone through a very good makeover service is good the place is clean and orderly I love that in a shop the improvement is great check em out thank you!

I like this location but the hours say it opens at 8. I got there at 8:17 I seen 3 ppl come and leave bc no one was in there. If that is not the hours they should not say that on the door or website. Gas is not free, the economy isn’t good we don’t have money to waste. I also the heard the one on College Rd be having the same experience. But this is my first having this issue. I’m sure it’s not the first time it’s happened, no one has probably reported it to corporate.

CUSTOMERS PLEASE BEWARE!The workers of the store are pleasant and helpful. The manager, Tammy Watson, however is aggressive, rude and does not follow store policy. I requested to speak to the person above her, she stated she does not report to anyone and she does not have the number to corporate and that I can Google it myself. I did just that and contact them, forwarded the video of the awful exchange to validate my claims and also submitted a survey. I shop at this store several times a week. It is bad for business to treat people the way I was treated today. I was respectful and polite through the whole exchange. With that being said, SHOP AT YOUR OWN RISK! ⚠️

Went to Family Dollar ....they had Ty-D-Bol for $1.00. I grabbed 4...went to the counter and they rang up for $1.25. So, I tell the cashier that the tag says $1.00...she said they went up...so I said I didn't want them. Normally, a store would give you what the price tag says...not this one!!! I guess the company would rather lose my entire sale than do right by the tag and only lose $1.00....I won't be spending my money in there anymore!!! They need to be investigated...I wonder how many people don't watch the prices when they ring stuff up...

The staff is nice, but the prices are ALWAYS off from what the signs say. They're going to get investigated for that at some point. Until then, I always check prices.

The service is definitely getting better than what it was a couple of months ago. Always has a great candy selection even if other items are out of stock. And sometimes the wait time can get lengthy when you’re waiting for someone to come up to the cash register to check you out. The cooler area can sometimes look a bit messy because they’ll overstock the cooler and jam pack it with a bunch of items.
