Didn’t stay the night here, but we stopped for coffee at their restaurant inside. The whole vibe was awesome. As a neurodivergent, queer couple, we felt right at home. The coffee was fantastic. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and it seemed to be really clean. We will definitely come back and stay here.

Had a wonderful stay here! Upgraded to the Milam Suite upon arrival, which was spacious and beautiful. The bathroom included a clawfoot tub which was amazing! The entire staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was made to order and overnight guests are offered a free drink at the downstairs coffee shop in the morning, which is a thoughtful touch. Will definitely stay here again!

Phenomenal stay at Double Oaks. The people running it are all very nice. Austin went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Mike serves some of the best fritadas around. The location is perfect distance from the college, downtown, breweries and restaurants. The house is very pretty and the rooms are gorgeous. You will not be disappointed with your stay.

The coolest coffee shop in Greensboro! You feel transported when you enter in, the staff is always very chatty and you feel like a regular as soon as come in!Of course though, I like that this place is well hidden, so It may be better if you just let the ones already going not have to share this space ;)Food & drinks: Great quality coffee, I would also recommend the pastries they have to offer. Delicious!

Their coffee is out of this world, their atmosphere is unlike anywhere in Greensboro. Today I got their breakfast sandwich, amazing!Walkability: There are lots of neighborhoods around, it’s very walkable you could even walk to downtown very easily.Food & drinks: I got a sausage, egg and cheese. It was very good!

Pleasant enough staff, but not interested in or capable of providing a good customer experience. Room OK, but the whole place is very unloved and deteriorating. On arrival we were shown to our room and given a hurried introduction. They were having a public wine tasting/Jazz band evening and there was a very strong garlic smell everywhere. The main purpose of the event seemed to be to sell food and drink.Breakfast is served in a public coffee shop and guests go to the counter to get theirs. We were given a frittata which was OK. Nothing else was offered, no juice, no toast, no cereal, no fruit, no refills, nada.Although no one told us, we noticed that the information book in the room said “no turn down service, but ask if you need anything”. After being out all day, we found that what it really meant was no housekeeping whatsoever, not even coffee pod replacement. The second evening, the whole place stank of frying with old fat.Second morning, the same cook offered us the same frittata. When we said that was the same as yesterday, he said he could cook us something else, but all he had was eggs and vegetables! We asked for scrambled eggs and toast. We got an overcooked egg pancake and rye toast - we were never asked what bread we would like and would not have chosen that. Truly, we would have been disappointed by this place even if it had been half the price.

Clean, conveniently located, and the building has character (1909 Colonial Style). Has a Sunday brunch which changes the breakfast schedule (guests should be accommodated differently). Room design matches the era, but the beds should be updated.

Very unique and historic building, nice atmosphere. Would recommend if you like the 'feels-like-home' experience.Food & drinks: Breakfast/ brunch provided, drinks in the evening. Food was pretty good and a coffee bar was on-site.

I really loved the environment of this place. That part was awesome. However after paying $315 for a night, I did expect breakfast. I ordered food for dinner that night because all the menu offered at the house was pizza & wings which I found strange. What I also found strange is the staff member had at least 2 glasses of wine. When I woke up that morning I was looking forward to breakfast. I asked the lady at the coffee shop downstairs about it and she informed me there would be no breakfast because the chef was sick. This made me wonder, was the chef hungover or sick. Either way, you would think they would prepare for situations like these. She told me I could help myself to yogurt and granola. After spending so much money on the room I do feel like this place was false advertisement. Breakfast was never served. Huge letdown. I wasn't traveling, I just wanted an awesome experience and unfortunately the food aspect ruined it for me. Do not come here if you get hungry.
