I've put off this review for quite a while, hoping things would be made right and I could recommend this place after all. However, as I consider it paramount to be honest and blunt when reviewing somewhere that promotes such a massive financial commitment as a car, I have to highly recommend you stay far away from Volvo Cars GSO.
In November of 2023, I traded my 2023 Ford Maverick towards a 2020 Volvo Xc90 CPO (certified pre owned by volvo). It's important to note this was a CPO car, as Volvo CPO cars are to come with a 1 year BUMPER TO BUMPER warranty, as per Volvo directly, wherein such claims are paid BY THE DEALER. This was confirmed to me by Volvo corporate. At the time I bought the car, I admittedly allowed myself to be swayed into extending that warranty, being told it would extend the same exact coverages to 2027 or 100k miles, whichever came first. I paid $3800 for this extension, thinking it was a long term investment. Conveniently, when I asked for a printed copy of the contract the night I bought the car, the printer was "out of paper", and it took 2 weeks of emails before scans were finally sent. Scans which had the warranty coverages page omitted, and showed a page number jump.
As you might expect, it turns out the warranty covers very little, with a huge paragraph of exclusions beyond regular wear items to things such as "lighting, upholstery, and cosmetic items". Time after time, I brought my car in for small issues, and every single time I had to fight and argue just to make sure things were covered. In fact, on one occasion, the service team simple went ahead with repairs BEFORE verifying coverage, then hit me with the bill. I refused to back down, and the invoice was adjusted "in good faith". Every ordeal was exhausting, and that's provided they even answer when you call.
Come to find out, despite my car being a CPO vehicle, which requires the selling dealer to cover expenses for one year, this dealer had simply been filing claims through my extended warranty, lying to me and saying the CPO warranty was "the same thing anyways", simply so they could charge repairs through fidelity, and not themselves.
Now I had been patient, I had been consistent, and I had tried to resolve these issues to where they would stop coming up, and at one point I called ahead and came into the store in person to discuss this. I was told ahead of time to come in, then rebuffed by the receptionist. When I finally spoke to the sales person who told me on the phone to come in, our conversation was interrupted when the GM came storming up and yelled at the sales person "TELL HIM GOODBYE, AND PUT THIS DOWN NOW". When I confronted this man about what he had said, without giving me a chance to speak he said "I know who you are, I know why you're here. I am not helping you." And furthermore "the salesman who promised you these things when you bought the car no longer works here, so we cannot be held liable for what he did."
Now you can say what you want about car dealers and salesmen. Everyone has to make a living, and I have dealt with good and professional salesmen who value the integrity of a sale. But to hear that directly from a general manager was absolutely shocking and should serve as a warning to anyone considering doing business with this place.
In the end, I actually sold my volvo to carmax, and terminated my warranty. At the time of writing, I have been attempting to cancel it through the dealer for weeks, as they are obligated to do so, and agreed on multiple occasions to help. Meanwhile, they have sat on their hands and when I attempted to follow up, they never called back. Meanwhile, the money I am owed for a warranty I cannot use any longer continues to linger. I cannot even count how many failed follow ups I've had with this place, but thankfully, I am done. I will be canceling the warranty through fidelity dire

State Inspection...
I texted Kristin to book an appointment to Inspect my car. She responded my text within minutes. I brought the car to the dealer the next day. Was very nice to see her familiar face there taking care of the costumers. They were busy, but she made everything super smooth. I definitely recommend this dealership. The people that works here are nice and professional. They treat everyone with respect and professionalism.
