In a showroom that looks so uninviting I found a gem named Ashley! I was so worried, based on the appearance of the store, about the car and service I would receive. Ashley was bright eyed and bubbly at 8am in the morning which I could never be! Explained everything in detail and her smile brought such light to a gloomy setting. The car was clean and nice I was in shock...we booked a one week rental for April already! Thanks Ashley!

I hope Avis knows how lucky they are to have an employee like Ashley. She's awesome at her job, great attitude I watched her deal with all types of people truly a value to the company. My pickup was a quick and easy transaction. Thank you for running the place so smooth!

Very rude you can tell when they have a bad day . It’s always different info or they are closing the door soon cause they bout to close . Very bad energy charged me for a tank that was not full … I was always under the impression that the tank should be full upon pick up .Told me it was extra to get a certain kind of car turned around gave a different person an upgrade free of charge ,Airport people are nice patient this one on gate city has bad energy they want you out they face

I was lied to about being able to speak to a supervisor. One said I had to wait to be contacted via email, then another said they were on lunch. Finally got hold of one after calling back multiple times and was told he wasnt the correct supervisor only to be put on hold again and transferred multiple times to stay on hold for over 30 minutes.I was charged a fee that should not be charged to my account that over drafted my account by 400+ dollars. Never signed anything saying I had to pay that fee nor was I told that the reason for the charge before hand. Which if I was I would have NEVER rented from here.The actual pick up and drop off was miserable.. the man was yelling trying to rush through all the customers, answering the phone, and hands me a the agreement to sign and then I had to ask what type of car it was and then he handed me the keys. Didn't show me where the car was or anything. I get the car to my house and put down the seats there was food and mud all over the back.When returning the car the lady was rude and made me feel like I was the problem and had an attitude. Told me she wanted her manager to check the car before changing me. To call back tomorrow and see what he says. I did, she told me I had to pay a charge. I said I don't have that and she said well take that up with your card holder...Avis greensboro nc is the worst.. it reminded me of a old dirty abandoned gas station with creepy dirty people in it. Corporate should do something about that... I will be posting this review on every review possible.Yall are about to be sick of me...

Took $450 for smoking and I don’t smoke . I was accused of spraying air freshener to cover up smell. Took fuel service fee and the tank was full. This after the vehicle was returned clean from the Auto bell across the street from this location. Gary was very disrespectful and condescending. He needs to practice good communication, he could put himself in harms way. First time in 13 years with Avis…I’ve always had great experiences with Ashley. She needs a team to back her. Sadly, I’m never going back to this location…..

I've rented two times at this location and never had any problems. The staff, though very busy, was courteous and professional. My vehicle was cleaned as well as can be expected from a rental car. People are careless with things they don't own. I will rent here again in the future.

They don't deserve a this one star. My 70+ mom was desperately on her way ro see her sick son Avis gave her 3 types of wrong info . Said she can only use 1 credit card she doesn't have high credit card limits because of her age so they would let her rent my Brother passed away without his Mother by his side. Now the next day she went again this time she went they told her she can have 2 cards can use her bank card along with credit card. I have family coming andi told them to NEVER USE THEM AGAIN .

I had booked a full size car online and they told me they didn’t have anything on the day and I should check the next day??? And then when I went the next day they didn’t have anything either. My friend drove me back and forth twice for NO CAR. The lady working is rude and doesn’t even listen to the customer.

AVOID AVIS LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!My wife had the worst customer service experience of her life with Avis. She first received a vehicle with a heavy cigarette smoke smell at the downtown Dayton location and there were no other vehicles at the location for her to swap.She then had to go to the Dayton airport location and the Avis rep was awful and not empathetic at all! He even told my wife that the other location was lying or implied that my wife was lying about them not having other vehicles. She got a different vehicle, which was smaller than what we paid for and one of the seatbelts did not work. After a half an hour of trying to fix the seatbelt, they gave her a third vehicle. At that point, she had already lost about 2 and a half hours of her day.I called customer service several times and one rep told me to call back after my wife was done with the rental to get a full refund of the prepaid amount. After returning the vehicle, customer service told me the best they could do was a 20% refund. After arguing and telling the rep that I was lied to, he offered me a 40% refund.Even when my wife returned the vehicle to Greensboro, NC, at 10:50AM, the location was closed with a sign saying to come back at 11:15AM. She wasted even more time having to go back later.I cannot believe how utterly incompetent this company was at every step of the way! They could offer to pay me to drive their rental cars and I would refuse. It was the worst customer service experience we have ever had!

So glad to be away from such dark energy, no professionalism, cutesy or politeness. If your using debit card go somewhere else...500 hold. Plus she had an attitude because I came back (to sit in store) to wait for cab. So grateful he came 2 minutes later. I send her healing, politeness, peace, joy and customer communication skills.I will never recommend

Absolutely garbage customer service. All employees in this location are unprofessional. Ashley made a snarky comment to my sister on affordability. We don’t need sass when spending 1.5 hours in your office trying to secure a rental car. Do you want us to come back?

After reading the reviews, I'm guessing that Ashley wasn't working when everyone else rented their cars. Ashley was professional, nice, and even recommended a restaurant I should visit during my trip to Charleston (btw she was right Hannibal's Kitchen was DeeeeLish).
