Unfortunately, they do what other thrift stores are doing now, checking prices and putting high prices on the better things. I know it's for a good cause but I go to thrift stores for deals. The main negative point I want to make is that I visited close to closing time. At about ten til, they literally cut out the lights out where I was, not where the store was vacant but right over me! I find that so classless. They also cut off the music but that is fine. Why not just blink the lights or yell 10 minutes to close. They may have yelled out but I forgot. I haven't been back there since. Prices are too high to buy anyway. Too bad. It's a huge, nice space.

Nice folks, clean store. However, this is definitely not a thrift store. Prices are really high.

MIXED REVIEW. I really wanted to like this place, but.....I liked the store and the items, but not the vibe and supercilious atmosphere of wealth in a thrift store.I've always had a hard time shopping thrift stores because I thought they were for people in need. But I was out looking for a particular type of gift for someone who suggested I try thrift stores. I popped in here because it was a recommended shop. This is definitely NOT what I thought a thrift store was. Half of the store had the expected used items. Some of them are beautifully refurbished furniture. Half of it is a boutique of new clothing that is NOT priced for anyone on a budget.I was, however, very impressed with the quality of the repurposed furniture. It is beautiful, well made, and very reasonably priced.I was surprised at the other shoppers. I was not expecting bougie moms and their over privileged children in a "thrift" store. But they can afford the boutique pricing on the other side of the store. The store seems to be aimed more for this type of clientele.I'm not sure if the cashier was having a bad day, but I hope it got better for her. I definitely wasn't expecting snobbish service and atmosphere in a "thrift" store.

Pricey for a thrift store but the merchandise is quality. They have staff that restores some of the old things there and then so you get antiques that are clean and functional, and look newish.

I wne t to buy some thi gs they charged me over 20 dollars and when I told them they said they couldn't refund me the money THEY OVERCHARGED and they could only give me store credit which I did not want and on too of that the credit expired that same day. It has the worst service they left me talking to myself.

This review is for the Mebane location. The store was very well organized and I was excited to go in. The clothing prices were a tad high for the quality IMO. The kids section wasn't that great. The housewares and adult clothing was full of brand name and good stuff. I docked a star for the customer service with one of the girls. She was not friendly and was very standoffish. She stayed very quiet when checking out and seemed annoyed about the large amount of things I was buying. I like that this store gives back to a specific program. Will most likely return, wish they were open later than 5 on the weekend.

I just saw two 1 star reviews and I am shocked! I buy things here all the time and donate just as much. This is a charity organization to help young men and woman suffering from addiction! This organization does SO MUCH good-they are one of the only recovery facilities I know that is completely free for those who suffer from addiction. As I stated-I shop here all the time-the prices are excellent! The young men working here and the staff-many volunteers-are the nicest people. I have gotten so many toys and games (plus lots of other stuff) for my grandchildren for a dollar or two. I donated my $3,000 custom drapes (beautiful material-but I had them for 20 years) and we saw them on sale there for $15!!! They are not marking things high, believe me. People need to shop here, get wonderful bargains and support Living Free.

Absurd prices. Boutique prices. When a "ministry based" organization tries to get the highest dollar they can on merchandise that their lower income shoppers can't afford I think that speaks volumes. These are donated items..so the profit is 100 percent. I was actually told by a member of staff that they go online and research all their pieces so that they can get the top dollar):. I used to shop here all the time. No more.

This place has changed their thrift store around. They have antiques and upcycled furniture. They have cut the thrift store inventory in half. Still good finds to be had.

Staff are friendly and we've found some great deals there. Plus I love that the proceeds are helping addicts of all types recover and thrive in their life after recovery.
