“The staff is very friendly here, I went today to get stuff for supper and was having a hard time choosing a BBQ sauce and the gentlemen that was wearing black on clouds was stocking and offered to help me after he saw me standing there looking clueless lol. His help and knowledge on the different BBQ sauces was very much appreciated!”
“I love this Food Lion. I usually order online and pick up at the store because it keeps me from overbuying (and I HATE grocery shopping) and the shoppers at this store are great! They are always polite and do their best to make reasonable substitutions. I've asked them to add an item or make a cheaper substitution in the messages and they've always been friendly and accommodating (and I make sure not to spam them or ask for too much). Overall, I now prefer to shop at this Food Lion over Walmart because of the customer service. They might be slightly higher on some prices, but it really evens out when you consider specials, coupons, and MVP deals. And you're getting better products. Thank you to the managers at this location because you're running the store well. Please treat your employees well, too, so they stick around because they really make this a wonderful location.”
“We decided to look around Carlie C's while our jeep was being repaired nearby. We hadn't been here before, but we will definitely be back for regular grocery shopping! The store has a fabulous bakery, the best meat market I've seen so far in Goldsboro, and an awesome selection of groceries. Prices are comparable to Wal-Mart and Food Lion, and, on several items, better. We went in just to look around and kill time, but wound up filling a cart.My only complaint is the self-checkout. It doesn't have the "price shooter gun" that most other stores have, and this required us to lift our heavy cases of soda and run them across the scanner. That wasn't fun because I have spinal injuries. Also, the machine kept telling us to place these items in the bagging area, where there wasn't enough room for them, instead of back in our cart. Let's hope the store updates its self-checkout technology in the future! This won't stop us from shopping at Carlie's, but we'll be sure to use the regular checkout lanes next time, and advise you to do the same if you have very large, heavy items like bags of dog food or cases of soda.We were impressed by the selection of products, the quality of the bakery and meat market, the prices and the clean store. We'll be regular customers from now on.”

“Some things are cheaper here, some things cheaper else where, just have to compare. I am long past thinking the comm should have everything cheaper. I get Seymour Johnson is a training base therefore a small commis all that is required. But seriously, this is small. The staff is always VERY helpful when I ask. The meat manager is a riot.”

“Went there to see what they have. Not sure what it says but the cookie candy isle is good. Some of the tings the have are like moon pie but they don't have the marshmallow on the inside. They have different kind of cookies and stuff. Went there twice so far and the younger can explain better what things are to the English speaking people..”

“Good that this place stays open right around the corner from me and stays open until 12am. They take EBT, Cash, Debit, & Credit Card. They have the Lottery. The prices are a Lil higher for there cigarettes, and some other things are also a little bit higher than other stores but I guess that's because they are open later than normal.”
“This is your typical Food Lion grocery store. They carry the same things as other Food Lion grocery stores. You can pretty much get all of your grocery supplies here at Food Lion. They were pretty busy today. I'm not sure if they're that is all the time or just occasionally when there's something going on.”
“It touches my heart that in today's world that's not too kind, sometimes you get shown the most kindness. The manager at this Dollar general really displayed the most. “This is your typical Dollar General store. They carry the same things as other Dollar General stores. I did not find most of the items I was shopping for today, but the store was neat today. This store might be smaller than some Dollar General stores or that's the way it seemed to me. The staff was friendly. There restrooms are currently closed to the public due to Covid19.”
“7-9-23Grocery store with a taco truck in the lot. Store sells Mexican produce and processed foods. We came for the truck and tacos. You order at the truck and then pay inside the store. They take cards. The truck sells tacos, tortas, quesadillas, and sopes.We got the pastor tacos, and these are fantastic. Corn tortillas with onions and cilantro. The pastor is seasoned well, and the tacos are filled liberally with meat. No skimping. Fairly and comparably priced at $3 each. You get both green and red salsa, and both were zippy. You get lime slices as well. It's definitely authentic.There is a small table to the right of the truck (no shade) if that is your thing. Tacos were prepared quickly, and we were gone to stuff our faces.It's a good taco option.”
“My daughter and I were looking to throw out trash from my car before going inside the store, but we couldn’t find a trash can outside. I believe we just happened to run into an employee who was just getting off work. The employees name was Delilah. Delilah noticed we were looking for a trash can but informed us there was not one outside, but offered to take our trash to the dumpster behind the store. This might seem like a small gesture, but to me it was very kind and was very appreciated so I didn’t want it to go unnoticed.”
