“This time, initially the technicians were working on some utilities in the service room and I couldn't use it at the time I arrived. Once they wrapped up, everything went smoothly... Some of the machines still need a little fine tuning, (coin receptacles were hit & miss). Some of the machines are accepting credit cards now. All but two of the machines were working.”

“I recently took my daughter's wedding dress to A Cleaner World in Burlington, NC. Having heard horror stories about getting wedding dresses cleaned (elsewhere), I was extremely nervous but knew the red mud had to be cleaned off the dress as quickly as possible. I read several articles about having a wedding dress cleaned, and asked poignant questions, which they answered with confidence, and my concern was eased. They told me they send all dresses to their sister company who only clean formal wear, and this eased my mind further.

One thing I read over and over was to make sure you let them know exactly what the stains are so they can properly document, and the person doing the cleaning knows exactly what chemicals to use to get the dress clean. Otherwise, they have to start with the mildest chemical, and keep increasing to the next level until they get it right. This increases the likelihood that the fibers of the dress will be broken down.

The only thing I was concerned about at A Cleaner World while dropping off was they did not offer me a physical receipt until I requested it. They seemed almost irritated I had asked, and the person who did the intake of the dress then said, "Well, I can get you one, but you'll have to wait for me to get it input into the computer." I told her I didn't mind waiting. I'm old school and like to have a physical receipt. She told me I would get an email and could set up a login to my account at that point. I told her that I don't currently have an account, and I'm not comfortable with receiving nothing when I'm dropping off a dress I spent a lot of money on so I would just wait.

After she got it in the computer and provided me with the receipt, I thanked her and went to my car. I then sat there watching until the dress was taken back. For a while there were no employees up there, and my daughter's dress just hung there on the hook by the cash register next to the open door. I waited about 10-15 minutes before the dress was taken back. I was not leaving until I knew this $1,000+ dress was secure. This is why I dropped my rating from a 5 to a 4 star. Just be cautious when dropping off a wedding dress. Everything was fine, but anyone could have stepped in the door, grabbed the dress and been gone.

I picked up the dress yesterday, and the red mud is gone, and the dress looks as good as new. I am quite pleased, and I highly recommend A Cleaner World for a wedding dress.”

“They have always done a good job on our laundry and dry cleaning and seem knowledgeable about fabrics. Until recently, they had amazing alteration services, but that seems to have changed. The alteration person is rarely in the store, and if not, they will not take your clothing, even if it's a simple job that does not have to be marked. They just tell you to call and see when she will be in. I'm sad about that because, like I said, they have done an amazing job on alterations in the past.”

“I generally like this place and the fact that it opens automatically at 6 in the morning without someone needing a key to open the place. It's clean. I haven't used their restrooms, so I can't speak on that. They have plenty of various size washing machines and aren't too costly. The smallest one takes 8 quarters. Using the dryers isn't free, but 75 cents to a dollar per load and your clothes should be dry. There is free Wi-Fi available also. The one negative thing is the fact that they still have a row of old non-working washing machines that should removed and replaced.UPDATE: It LOOKS clean BUT they have roaches from adult size to babies all around. Don't leave your stuff sitting there or you might end up taking home a family. I sit in my car with my empty laundry bags while washing and drying my stuff. Also, the air smells stale in there, which means they need to do a deep clean on their washing machines.”

“love this place and they have full service and will fold and do your cloths, very convenient and clean, ladies are always so helpful and nice, just wanted to add to my past experience the service and laundrymat continues to be the best in burlington and I'm posting this on 1/8/2023, lady's are always so nice and helpful, if you need cloths done well all the time ladies and gentlemen keep coming here for the best full service.”
