All of our family loves this hardware store. Their costumer service is the best. They are ALWAYS taking their costumers projects and problems like their own. Many times it has been the only place where they've really helped us. I've found stuff here that I haven't found anywhere else, going all over Gastonia and Mount Holly. Also its the best and most affordable place to repair our landscaping equipment.

I don’t recommend Westend Hardware for mower servicing anymore. I called to make an appointment several times on 3 consecutive days and the phone went into voicemail. So I drove up there on Thursday to see what was the problem or if they were closed. Well they were open and I told the gentleman behind the counter that I have a Snapper Zero Turn which I purchased there about 3 years ago that I wanted serviced and if I brought it in on Tuesday could I get it back by weeks end. The gentleman said that should not be a problem because they were staging all servicing separately from one in need of repair that way they could not all of the servicing out in a day or two while repairs may take longer. So I said I’d bring it up on Tuesday morning expecting to get it back by weeks end or no later than the following Monday. Not receiving any calls or texts that week or the following week, I called the next Wednesday and after getting the busy signal the first 3 times, someone picked up and I asked the status of my mower, the gentleman said it would probably be two or three weeks before it would be ready. I said, that wasn’t what I was told and I can’t wait 3 weeks. I’m having to cut my lawn twice a week. I’ll just pick it up on tomorrow. Well I picked it up and it appeared that it had been sitting outside in the rain the whole time. I’ve been trading at Westend for over 50 years and never experienced such bad service. I know it’s under new management and if they want to be around for awhile they’d better get their service dept in check. I left there at 9am, took it to someone else and it was ready by lunch. I will not be taking it back to Westend ever.

I can not recommend West End Hardware. I dropped off my Husqvarna zero turn mower for a tuneup and to replace a deck bracket and new starter. When I went to pick it back up, they didn’t replace the deck bracket as requested and when I got it home to take it off my trailer I realized they hadn’t replace the starter either. I called and spoke with John, to give the another opportunity to make it right. John offered to come pick up the mower and return it to me the next day. Well the day for them to pick up my mower came and gone with out so much as a phone call to let me know they wouldn’t be picking it up. Bottom line is, they screwed up initially by not completing the service requested, and then screwed up by not following through for the fix. Find some where else to take you equipment for service if you want it done right, the first and even second time.

Love them . Super helpful when me and my daughters go there for small home repairs etc Sometimes you just don't want to deal with big box stores. Prices are very fair and they are always nice

After 3 weeks I picked up my mower, and 350.00 billIt lasted 2 weeks before it had to come back. Needless to say. I HADNT LEARNED my lesson. Brought it back now another 3 weeks later I'm here waiting to pull it out to take it somewhere else Don't deal with these people they have no customer service never again .

They were busy, but they wait on you as you arrive. Kind of was annoyed by a joke heard from behind the counter.
