YOU CANNOT DO REFUND/EXCHANGE IN THIS STORE EVEN WITH RECEIPTS. Don't shop here if you are okay with never getting your money back if you find out it's broken, you can't fit it, it's missing pieces, etc. I purchased foundation and when I had to remove the price tag from the plastic film, it covered the shade, which was 10 shades lighter than my actual tan skin tone. So I went back with the receipt and they said they can't refund it because they did not have it in their system because I removed their price tag from the plastic film. Now mind you, the box will always have the original barcode to identify the product info. So how can TJ Maxx or any retailers have an inventory if they do not scan the original barcodes so that they can stick their price tag on the product? The employee at the jewelry section was also very rude and dismissed me. When she helped another customer (similar skin tone to herself), her attitude immediately did a 180°, implicating herself as a BIGOT. I observed how she did not want to help an old white lady who asked a simple question if the ring stretches, employee said yes when it obviously did not, and the customer was confused when she tested it and it did not.
TL;DR: I had a receipt (had to remove their price tag to open the product), and employee said her manager could not refund the product because they could not find it in their inventory list. It was within 30 days. It's just $16, I know, but it's the policy that they refused to adhere to, and the racist demeanor of the employee that ruined my outlook of TJ Maxx.

Need to carry more Michael Kors gold watches for ladies.Thats the only brand my daughter will wear.Went to Gastonia TJ Maxx they also didn't have any so we had to order online.
