I stopped by this store last night and left behind a pack of juice boxes. I called the store and the associate stated that they would leave it at the customer service desk and that she would make a note with my name and that I didn't need a receipt. I told her I would be coming back in the morning to pick it up. I stopped by the store this morning and the manager Lindsey stated that nothing was left for me and that I needed to show a receipt. I stated how frustrating that can be when I'm being told two different things but I was able to pull up my digital receipt from the Food Lion app. The digital receipt apparently wasn't enough so Lindsey stated that she was going to check the cameras. I'm thinking all of that for a $2 pack of juice boxes. She was rude and not helpful at all as a manager. While she was in the back checking the cameras the other manager Sandy came and asked what I needed help with. I told her what happened and she instantly said for me to just go and get another pack of juice boxes. Thank you Sandy for being a perfect example of how a manager should handle situations like this. Lindsey needs to check her unconscious biases on how she treats customers and learn from Sandy on how to be an caring and efficient manager.

Telling customers they can't use self checkout because they have more then 12 items needs to be a official store policy or it's possibly to be mistaken for discrimination of some form. I understand stores deal with theives BUT don't treat every customer like one especially when I was thee only person in self checkout. I'll b3 reaching out to your corporate office. Either make it a store policy or shut down your self check out all together!

When I'm in Gastonia I ALWAYS visit THIS location. Rita is ALWAYS ready, willing and able to assist. I LOVE the fact that we have people that STILL wanna go ABOVE AND BEYOND... Even when they REALLY don't have to! Thank you Rita for BEING YOU! YOU HAVE A GREAT ASSET!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK RITA AND FOOD LION..... GREATNESS MATTERS! ???

The staff and cashiers here are very helpful.The stuff OUTSIDE the store brought it down a star for me.I'm not sure that anyone can change the surroundings but for a review it might be important to others.
