Since moving to Garner and not wanting to drive to Raleigh every time we needed vet care for our babies, we searched for local vet care but found that chain providers were not as compassionate as private care. We established with AMC of Garner and cannot express enough how happy we are with the entire practice. Chase and Gizmo are very anxious boys, but they seem to be happy after their visits and feeling much better. The vets may recommend options for certain procedures but are not pushy at all.

TLDR: Clean, professional vet in Garner, NC. Excellent communication. Pricy, but comparable to Cary and Raleigh vets. How have I not reviewed AMC of Garner yet? We have been coming here for 3 years and love it! Our dogs adore the staff here and are spoiled so much at their appts with treats, attention, and pets. We visit several times a year for annual exams and vaccinations. Occasionally we need to come in for a sick visit. Most recently my eldest dog was diagnosed with cancer. AMC of Garner evaluated him and referred us to BluePearl in Cary (who have been great). Each employee we have interacted with at AMC has been welcoming, accommodating, and helpful , from the front desk staff to the vet techs to the vets. We seem to have a new vet each year. Unsure if they have a high vet turnover or if it just ends up like that due to the date we request. I try to schedule their appts several weeks in advance when able. Typically we receive an appt on the date selected, usually a Saturday. I call to schedule the appts. Occasionally I am placed on hold, but more recently I have been helped right away. Each visit occurs on time, all of our questions and concerns are addressed, and we leave with what we need. AMC sends a text the next day to check in on our pets. They call with post-appt concerns (like a positive test result) or text updates if there are not concerns. They send out reminders via email. This feature is incredibly helpful so that we stay up to date with visits and vaccines. Overall, we have had numerous positive visits here and recommend this vet to others.

My dog has had 3 wellness visits here so far and I can't say enough about the doctors and techs we've had. My dog loves people but he gets aggressive when poked and prodded and everyone has been so patient and understanding. It sounds like they muzzle him without stressing him out at all and I'm so grateful because he has ear issues etc. that need attention and I want him to be able to get the care he needs. Again, after three great visits, I just had to share my experience with my difficult dog and how great AMC of Garner is with him. I am very very grateful.

I love them here. You can tell they are good when every pet is jumping with excitement when they come to get them!!!

Where to start? We originally brought our dog to this vet for a routine trim because according to their website and staff, they excelled in handling anxious pets. When we got to the exam room, we were greeted by Dr. Andrea Alcorn who essentially told us everything "wrong" with our dog and then proceeded to offer drugs to make him "better" completely unprompted. The ill-conceived advice would've been helpful if we 1. asked for it, or 2. were actually there for literally anything other than a simple nail trim. Approximately $70 dollars and an hour and a half later we left without a single service being rendered. A little advice, go to vets who actually do care about the overall health of your pet instead of pushing pills.

Would give ZERO stars if possible. This vet is ridiculously expensive and they take their sweet sweet time in every way possible. Don't try to call unless you're okay with waiting on hold for 15 minutes each time. Also DONT BE 1 minute late or they will cancel your appointment. Tried to speak to a manager but she had "left for the day" 3 hours before closing. Give your money to another vet that actually cares about your pets!!!

Wow, this is the quality vet practice that we were searching for. The depth of compassion and care is refreshing. They carefully went over our options. We just want to give our old girl a better quality of life as she ages so that she enjoys each day again. Thank you

Love the staff and they always do a great job taking care of my animals. BUT whoever is making the decisions on how much services cost have lost their minds. Really don't want to leave them, but I can't afford them anymore. Costs more to have them here than my mortgage.

Our experience was not positive. Was it just the rude office staff? Was it because we moved here during covid? Anyone's guess. But the level of service was so poor compared to what we were used to before we moved that in all honesty, it was shocking. My dog has been there 2 times. Each time we never could meet the vet or go inside with our dog due to covid. They didn't know our dog so when something very scary happened I called. They were, "well you can come in the spring when we have openings. She is bleeding from her butt, she won't eat, she won't be here by spring." The woman was flippant so we went to the ER. After the ER something else arose. I called them and said I really think this may be the end of her life here and would like her to be examined. The young woman laughed and said, in spring. WTH? So we called another vet who was more than happy to help us. We did have to put her down and we did so at our home which was better than a vets office truth be told. The day after she was euthanized I got an email from them stating it was time for her wellness exam. I called to say that she had passed. Oh okay I'll take you off the list and she hung up. Nice and compassionate right? In the past when our dog had to go to the ER our vet got the information from the ER and followed up with us the next day. When this vet did not I called and asked if he was going to. She said no, why would he? OMG. We so missed our former vet who would never have anyone say that in his office or would he ever just ignore a dying dog. I was in our former vets parking lot (covid) waiting for our dog when someone rushed in with their dog. The vet techs came out to our car to tell us what was happening. Our appointment was going to be late now so he could help someone else. He didn't tell them to come back in spring. We understood and knew we'd want the same treatment so waiting was no big deal. I would not recommend going to AMC. I do not care if it's covid time or they are busy. There is no excuse for this treatment. It's been poor since day 1. If I get another dog I know where not to go!

This is not yet our vet, but we are switching all of our pets over. Our cat Chrysler developed a urinary blockage that needed immediate attention. I called our regular vet & explained the situation. They made an appointment for us 2 days later. Our cat would have been dead. Knowing the severity of the situation, I called AMC of Garner to get a sooner appointment. I called (after hours) and texted so we could get the cat in asap. The next morning, before they opened, they called and told us to take Chrysler straight to the emergency vet. They recommended the hospital, gave us the phone number & 2 address locations. They showed me they cared more about our cat than the money they could have received from the office visit. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You helped save our cat & we will be making you our new vet. I've already recommended you to my mom.

We chose AMC of Garner because of the excellent reviews, the easy puppy plan (discounts with no monthly fee), and the fear free certification/approach to care. The team has been great! Everyone has been incredibly patient and thorough in answering our questions before, during, and after appointments. We didn't have to wait at all and the visit was pretty quick, especially considering the COVID protocols. We're new puppy owners and we're so glad we picked AMC of Garner!

If you like supporting business that don't bully entire groups of people and respect the constitutional rights to keep and bear arms don't give your money to this business. They have "no guns" stickers on the door, and the owner is actively working to ban guns in the town of Holly Springs.

I can't put in to words how well this place helped us out with our sick kitten it really seemed like they cared just like if it was their own pet. They were very fast as well, this is the only place i will be taking my pets from now on.

Please don't let their covid19 procedure scare you. It was quite literally the fastest visit ever- and that includes Dr. Anderson calling me with a thorough review and her opinion on several options. I'm very impressed with their response to the virus. Good people!
